Hit level 11. Wastelamd survival guide and a handful of,other areas cleared.

Playing on hard with BLEED and 2x weapon damage. Level 1-10 was really well balanced imo. Difficult but fair. 2x weapon damage felt just right

As it stands going anywhere is dangerous. Feeling trapped. My DT is 19 amd DR is high 30’s. Would be viable if I could find more protection. Is power armor mandatory at this point ?

Maybe 2x damage was overkill but it played exceptionally well for 50 hrs so I assumed it would work out alright.

Any survival tips or quest recommendations to make a continued go at this ?

Step one: use lad life and today physician to up med and surv skills.
Step two: wear +med armors then use buffout, jet, medx, mentats, psycho, radx. Rocket rebound and ultrajet. Eta of duration is 1500s.
Step three: wear+survival armor then use nukaquantum rumnuka sugarbomb

Change to combat equipment and fight. After duration run out meet doctor to cure addiction

Oh and get handloader perk which allow better ammo when you want it

Grayditch with its fireants are reasonable area for these levels. From there moving to andale is another area to loot. Or move down the river toward riverboat landing. Point lookout is one ticket away and its has loots in the dock town. Both panada and hale are good merchants can sell stuffs compared to dc ones.

I just wear combat armor through the whole game myself, getting up to mark II at some point. PA is not necessary.

Use everything at your disposal (grenades, mines, chems, crafted ammo, stealthboys, etc), don't rambo/leroy into combat, use cover, Companions can be an equalizer.

using Bleed (and sawyerbatty, roog, etc) will force you to change your playstyle and pay more attention to tactics and also use the things you have available more. Also be sure to hotkey stimpaks, yes they stack in Hardcore.

I can confirm that pa is unnecessary even to last battle. I dislike that tin can look so~

Dont play rambo like some youtuber video. They were either buffed to the gill by a master, or more simply just cheated. Fallout3 and more particularly the dc area in ttw is a tactical game more than rpg.
