Nothing from 2.9 is carried over. If you want to start in vegas, don't change the startup quest ini setting.

Hi everyone :)

I just saw your comment roy. its great to see! I mean i had very few complaints with 2.9 (bar my own stupidity with moding) but what kind of key things will make 3.0 better over 2.9 (bar teh installer which will save time and headaches hopefully!)

Weapons have been redone from

Post by RoyBatty » Sun Mar 11, 2018 6:12 pm

Weapons have been redone from scratch mostly and many many many fixes to both F3 and NV ones (still incomplete). I tried to keep the vanilla texture set order as much as possible but sometimes it's not possible so things may need esp updates. In the future when the armors/outfits all get fixed there will definitely be incompatibilities.

First and foremost I want a bug free vanilla experience, that means that mods take a back seat to that however avoided if at all possible. It's nothing insurmountable and usually will just require some minor adjustments.

As I've said before, I am treating TTW as it's own game, and it's own platform which frees me to do the things necessary to make TTW itself a working and as bug free as possible experience. That includes fixing *both* games issues because any reduction in resource usage is beneficial to the stability of the game as a whole.

That's absolutely great news,

That's absolutely great news, less to worry about when it comes to stability. A question if you may, are you perminantly implementing the xp modifier? As of now, I'm not using it for 2.9.4b because there (or I can't find) any description on how it works, what it does besides slowly make leveling more harder to aquire. Instead, I'm just using a simple xp modifier that adds double the requirement starting from level 1 and about 30hours in, I'm around level 29 and expect to hit fifty at around 80ish.

Would love to know what the current xp mcm mod does however if you had the time to give a brief description. :D

The new version of the plugin

The new version of the plugin gives the player a hidden perk that divides all XP by half instead of using a logarithmic ramp.

Is that in 2.9.4b or in 3.1?

In 3.1

In 3.1

2.9.4 uses the log, which you still end up OP fairly quickly. I decided cutting it in half made more sense since F3 was only designed for Level 30 and you'd still be 50 by the time you hit NV. I went over there around level 27 after completing the game in my last test play.

Day 180 something... The wait

Post by CrusaderTheFirst » Mon Mar 12, 2018 7:27 pm

Day 180 something... The wait for TTW 3.0/3.1 is killing me. The facts that the weapons will be adjusted and lots of bugs will be fixed, and the enclave getting advanced tesla armor (tesla x-01) doesn't help me wait. Getting put in cryostasis would help right now. None-the-less, I must soldier on and keep waiting for the update to finally come out.
