Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
I just got it to work maybe a few times, after I tried following:
I deleted the music folder provided by the mod, instead I used FNV's Music files and replaced the tracks with the same original ones, but NOT renaming the folders so only those tracks would play.
Then I started the game and it worked a bit in Megaton and a few times in the Wasteland. But otherwise it is either playing nothing or the original Fallout 3 soundtrack.
I even tried disabling EVERY other mod but still doesn't help.
I'm pretty sure it's on my end but I just don't know which mod. Do the tracks just play REALLY rare or bug sometimes so they don't play anything or what? :/
I can provide you my mod list, because I'm not finding the issue. Maybe you have better expertise. Of course, only if you have the time and will to do that. ^^

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
You should check it in FNVEdit and see if anything is conflicting with my plugin.
I don't see how it can work on and off.

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
I did, only thing conflicting is Tale of Two Wastelands.esm (kind of)
Still, I wonder. I don't have to rename the music files, only the folders, right?
Because in FNVEdit the music file titles are for example "ClassicFalloutBase01" etc.
Edit: I just looked under File Header and found mentions of this mod. I feel kind of like an idiot that I overlooked that one

So my question: Is it conflicting with your mod? Because it affects the DLCs, not the Capital Wasteland after all.

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
I'm assuming DLC music just adds in the markers that the NV engine uses to have music played, so it shouldn't have any affect on my mod.
The folders are all that need to be changed into what I have in the OP.
I can't think of any other reason why they aren't working for you. Nothing you have is overwriting my plugin's edits, you should have them in the right directory (using MO2, I hope, and as long as you followed the instructions exactly). Your music volume I assume isn't too low. You should be in the CW...
Will all tracks make sound when you play them with a media player? I really don't understand why you're having issues.
EDIT:
You know what, maybe FNV doesn't like it when you're missing the tracks. You did mention you're only using one of them. I've never tested it without some of the tracks. Can't believe I didn't think of this possibility. Do you know how long the times are between each track when it's not playing any music, i.e. is it random or does it have a specific amount of time each time?

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
Hmm, okay then.
I really don't know.
But it's probably because I don't have every mod installed. If that's the problem, then I have a question: Would it be possible to replace those mods with a balanced amount of Fallout 3 vanilla music and the Classic Fallout music, so only those two play?

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
Okay, yep, works with all of the tracks. I'm trying to replace them with only Vanilla and Classic tracks.
Edit: Wow, lol I'm dying right now. I've let DV's soundtrack in because I liked it a bit and replaced all the other ones with the classic Fallout soundtrack.
I've changed from Megaton to the wasteland and back about 20 times now ...
NOTHING. It just plays vanilla and DV's soundtrack, but not ONCE the classic Fallout soundtrack.
wtf
Edit 2: I deleted DV's soundtrack and got so far ONE track from classic Fallout.
It seems to me that it's there, but it's REALLY rare or just plays nothing.. :/

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
I'll check the plugin later on today when I get a chance to see if there's actually any CFM tracks correctly placed in the playlists.
As for the other tracks, I'll see if I can't have multiple plugins available for people to merge on their own with the FNVEdit merge script (unsure if it's possible).
Worst case, you might have to replace all the tracks on the other files with nothing (deleting the audio from the files with Audacity). My guess is that the engine will search for an extended time for a missing track, but will play the track for a very short time if there's nothing in the file. I can't say for sure.

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
I forgot about it as well, sorry about that. I've gone through a short test to see if it's possible to merge two plugins with only one set of tracks in them, and no luck. Aside from going through and making a whole bunch of different plugins with only certain music mods in them (I refuse to do this), one will have to open the plugin in FNVEdit and delete entries that they don't want inside the Media Location Controller tree. For example, if one were to only install Rohan's tracks and DV's tracks, they'll have to open musCtrlTTWFO3Public and delete any entries that don't start with DV or Rohans, then repeat this process for each subtree. This process is much easier for the user to do than it looks.
I do have individual plugins with only one mod's soundtrack set from trying to merge them, so I can upload them if someone wants only one mod's soundtrack.

Re: Music Addition (Capital Wasteland Only)
Yes I've gone through FNVEdit yesterday too and saw this and thought about deleting those subtrees that refer to the tracks I don't use, but I decided it would best to wait. ![Very Happy :D](images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
If you have a version for Classic Fallout Music only, please upload.![Razz :P](images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
