Any mods that help delevel the Capital Wasteland?

Post by Wasteworkwalker » Thu Apr 29, 2021 10:16 pm

Anyone know of any mods that do something along the lines of undoing the leveling in Fallout 3 to be more like New Vegas? Really I just want to get rid of the bullet sponges. Those albino radscorpions and reavers aren't hard they're just annoying. Any good mods that do this for base FO3?

Late reply

I just use Benny Humble You and Steal Your Stuff mod.

It delevel to 1, remove all lvlup perks and skill investment.
It take away all your inventory and supposedly put it in a safe in benny's room.
You also dont start with DLC items because theyalready been awarded to you right out of Vault 101

It leave your quest reward perks (like Ant Sight or Superior Defender), as well as learned perk (like ghoul ecology learned from a book in PLO).

It leave your book-learned skill points. So if you hunt down all the books in CW, you start with middling skill level.

You start with some items rewarded according to your stats, skills. DEFINITELY less than all DLC awarded items. 9mm pistol here you go! if you dont take a detour to Hopeville missile silo to pick up nail gun you dont have useable weapons to deal with (armored) scorpion.

learned schematics dont help you much because lack of raw components. Up to Nipton to create Dart Gun, Novac or later to create Rail Rifle.
-----------
This help in creating new playfield in Mojave. If you return to DC you also have a fresh beginning but I cant imagine why~

This mod was posted a while back to help cut the HP of things like Albino's and Overlords: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/70853

Part of the reason they are so tough is they have proper DT/DR in TTW, so using the proper ammo types does help as well.
Produces the programming equivalent of coffee stains.

One method to deal with albino is turbo + rushing water and rockit launcher. Physic damage for the win! :ugeek:

Use high damage weapons, chems, ammo and other game mechanics in NV, they can be trivialized.

The radscorps and a few other enemies have had their DT adjusted in 3.3. Some are harder, some are easier.

Trivialize is not a word I would use with albino.

I mean, after we pump a full 200-round magazine of AP ammo into their carcasses, it's pretty hard to say the word. And especially not when we look at the pitiful loots.

Well yes I lowered their DT to 15 in 3.3, also Overlords. 18 was too high. Lincolns repeater with SWC rounds now takes the same amount of shots as it does in F3.
