A most peculiar thing just happened
I had Fawkes and Raul as companions. Life was good, until I travelled to Point Lookout.
When I came back to the capitol wasteland, I visited the museum of history only to find Fawkes shooting up the place, he seemed to have lost his mind and I ended up having to put him down. Then I went into the Underworld and Raul starting shooting up the place, so, for the safety of the other ghouls, he also had to fall.
WTF happened to my companions while I was away?!

Are you using JIPCCC by chance? I had this happen more than once and there's at least 2 other reports of this. It seems random.

Yes, I am. I'm not entirely sure how it would cause my companions to go insane.
Lore wise, I have already written Fawkes off as the primal part of him finally managing to pull him away, and Raul just snapped.

That is interesting information. I have to look out for those two then However I have this happening on other companions randomly turning aggressive after they are fired (I'm assuming that is your case) which I read was a vanilla bug that you just have to use console, select that particular companon and set av aggression to 0doggie015 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2019 3:01 amI had Fawkes and Raul as companions. Only mods altering companions I have is JIP C&C and TTW followers go home(?)

This is a strange bug and I've had it happen in DM with GOD/DOG, reloading a save and going through that part again fixed it. Setting aggression to 0 did not work, nor did stopcombatalarmonactor which is very odd.
Someone else reported it with dogmeat.
in Fallout 3 this would happen with RL3 when you are abducted in Raven Rock , but that was because he would stay frenzied.

Just in case it's relevant.
I had a similar issue with Star Paladin cross - Had her with me in vault 87 until I was abducted. On returning to the Citadel I found her engaged i a firefight with the rest of the Lab occupants. On reloading, it was fine again.
I am not using JIPCCC.

setav aggression 0 to make him not want to kill everything in sight
Found that solution posted in a reddit thread and it worked for me. I had Raul spazzing out and this calmed his ass down so I could re-recruit him successfully. I returned his aggression value to 3 after (what it was before).
EDIT: Looked up aggression out of curiosity and this page on GECK wiki seems to suggest companion aggression should not be higher than 1.

Yup. So far i haven't had any other issues with BLEED in my TTW play-through. 58hrs in. Have yet to complete FO3 main quest but have completed several DLCs and traversed back and forth between Mojave and DC several times without any serious issues.

I'm pretty sure now the issue is with bleed and I need to add some stuff to the firing scripts to a) clear any DoT effects and b) reset aggression
