The good thing about FNV is that people can make their own mods. If you don't like how TTW does things, mod it out, if you don't like TTW make your own TTW with blackjack and hookers.

We get hundreds of thousands of downloads on our installer (when TTW 3.3 was released we got more than 150k downloads just in the month of the release, for example) and the vast majority of players actually praise how TTW made the new Train Station areas, the biggest complaints we get (which has been maybe a handful of players each couple of years) are:
-There should be a quest to take us to the station.
-The quest to turn on the power to the station is tedious (and we agree, we already had several talks about what to do with that quest so it's not as dull).
-The price of the train tickets should be pre-war money (this was an old complaint and we already implemented it).
-The pre-war money price of the tickets is too high (this was an old complaint and we already implemented ways of reducing or entirely bypassing the price).

So I don't think that the "average player" thinks the station is bad, badly made or too hard. Those new areas had more work put on them to make them feel like they are part of the base games than 99% of all mods for FO3 and FNV put together, the vast majority of players love and praised them, some of them have some minor complaints (as mentioned above) but still like them and there's even a tiny percentage of all players that thinks that the station was in FO3 all along. Only a very tiny fraction of players don't like the Train Station or how we implemented the travel. Those players do use or make their own mods to deal with this.

There is no pleasing everyone, and we are modders, we do this for the love of modding and for ourselves mainly. Working on a project the size and scope of TTW is draining and has led to many modders to quit modding or moving on from TTW, the workload is huge and we don't get paid for it. That is why most large modding projects are never finished or are released incomplete or in a messy state. We don't ask that players like our work, we encourage players to give feedback and constructive criticism, but we don't care about criticism that is thrown at us in an aggressive way, that the only point is to insult us just because someone doesn't like something in TTW and doesn't want to fix it themselves.

You seem to misunderstand something, we don't care about how you play the game at all. There are plenty of alternative and easy ways to travel between the wastelands in the form of mods. There's one that is basically a magic sewer that will transport you easily.

You say that you don't want to use more mods because you already have too many, well, that's your choice, but if you really dislike how TTW does the train station and refuse to fix it, then it's your own decision that is preventing you from playing the TTW you want to play.
You could just use the console and kill all the enemies you don't like, or activate god mode during that part and kill everything too. That doesn't require any extra mod, would fix the problem and would probably take less time than you spent writing your post.

Now, here's the thing, we have been making TTW for over 10 years, and we do listen to constructive criticism (as I said before, we already implemented stuff to "fix" some of the things that some players complained about in the station, and we do talk about how to fix other ones too, and eventually we will fix them if we can come up with good solutions), but the way you worded your post is just to try and insult us for not making the game you want to play, even though you can fix it yourself. You refuse to fix it because you just want to insult us. But if you fixed the problem, it would mean you couldn't come here and throw your fit and feel better about it. Yeah, your post really showed us.

Unfortunately for you, your post didn't achieve its purposeful intent, which was to try and hurt us, your post only made you sound like (as Bullfrog said) an entitled brat. And people usually don't pay much attention or listen to those. Even most people that would agree with you.
So in the end, you only ended up hurting yourself and your own criticism.

If you really don't want to play TTW, you can always try the F3FNV project I've heard about before (if it still exists). I think you travel between wastelands just by using a cave, no boring quests, no hard mutants, you just use a cave.

Have a good and happy day. :D

Hey, about that, wouldn't it be a good solution just to remove those four switches? I mean, just let the player turn on the generator and be done with it. These switches seem a little out of place to me anyway.

That one and other options were discussed, but we didn't choose what we will actually do in the future about it, since there's other more immediate work to be done.
