Been getting an issue for a while with Charon from underworld, where he will not use his weapons and will run away in combat.

He will not swap weapons when told to switch to melee and will instead keep his shotgun equipped and will crouch and head to the nearest piece of cover when in combat, or he will run right up to an enemy and aim his shotgun at them without fireing.
Im also unable to get him to switch to another weapon i give him even when its a fat man or missile launcher with ammo.

Using the 'showinventory' command shows he is getting duplicates of his weapons, removing these duplicates or using "resurrect" on him fixes him and allows him to use other weapons.

obviously being forced to use console commands isn't the preferred solution, would appreciate this bug getting looked at for the next ttw version.

Do you have any mods that mess with that NPC? There's some mods doing that, and they are not even TTW332, like their version of NPC dont have same AIpackage as TTW version.

More importantly, show us your load order.

This issue is present with vanilla ttw with no mods installed on top.
Been present since 3.2

After doing additional testing with him, charon will also constantly attempt to grab weapons/ammo off of the ground/corpses when exploring, however he wont actually equip these weapons either.

Lastly for some reason he is still considered to be in the underworld faction even when recruited.
I had an incident where i was fighting some super mutants outside of underworld and he ran in front of me while i was firing, and i accidental hit him.
After doing so the ghoul outside of underworld (forgot her name) turned hostile and going inside of underworld showed all of the inhabitants were also hostile.
(charon himself however was not)

I attempted to ask for help with these issues on the xnvse discord and the speculation others had after reviewing his scripts/packages was that there was a issue with the scene where charon kills azrakal and certain variables not being cleared/set.
given charon acts (behavior wise) for the most part like a force recruited generic npc instead of a true companion, it seems likely.
