Speed won't decrease

Post by Alfred1346 » Thu Aug 17, 2023 11:38 pm

Hi, new to the forums but have been enjoying the mod for a while now. I've having an issue with my game where I can't decrease my speed. I used player.setav speedmult 150 and my speed increased by a desirable amount. It randomly started going way faster recently and now no speedmult commands will work on it. I tried using benny humbles you mod hoping it would force my stats back to normal but no luck.

These are the mods I'm using. Nothing crazy.

The dangers of blindly using console commands. Try using this function from JIP LN instead. It includes force-updating it. (The vanilla AV doesn't, you have to do janky workarounds to make it re-evaluate).

I'm not really sure how to go about doing that tbh, lol. Am I supposed to type a command in game or do I need to do something else? I tried typing player.SetSpeedMult 150 and nothing changed though.

Dont use console command that way.

You could always get perks that increase movement speed like Tunnel Runner or Atomic or Implant M5.

Or you could use chems that raise Agility to 10. Courier run prrrrrretty fast in which case.

Hell, the Implant GRX perk provide 10 miniTurbo each day, which is my option for running~ Real Turbo cause addiction and very annoying.

Why can't there just be an easy way to increase/decrease movement speed without all this fuckery, lol.

There is not. That's how Embryo engine works~ Our methods are the safe way to mess with Speed.

Using console command to change variables is for veteran modders only. And veteran modders dont do that, not in continuous save game.
