If you don't mind being asked, whats holding you back from releasing it?

Apparently they need to revamp the installer for some reason. I took a look at the available source since it uses C#, and I can see why they wanted a new one. The variable names alone are a pain in the arse to read.

But as far as I could tell, it doesn't do anything explicitly fancy. It loads the game files into memory, applies a diff patch, then outputs the new ones.

Hell I could hack up something that does the same. I want to know as well; where is the old installer coming up short in functionality?

In a lot of things, but one that we really need and want is the ability to run patches instead of making a new TTW install each time we update. We also need it do download and update with the newest JIP LN version automatically. We need to implement better piracy checks, etc.

In order to keep things as

Post by RoyBatty » Tue Oct 03, 2017 5:06 am

In order to keep things as legal as possible we need a new installer that patches every asset so we include none with the installer except the assets we've custom made or ones that are in New Vegas already. We also need to copy files multiple times for patching for things like the weapons with mods etc. The BSA's also need to be unpacked, files deleted, replaced, patched and repacked with the proper flags. There are other features we would like to incorporate like transcoding all the audio to the sample rates that New Vegas uses to eliminate the crackling with voice modulation.

Additionally I want it easier to use so I don't have to be a programmer to create an install package, as well as being able to be used for more than just TTW.
