He hates having to use slaves, ...
The source of his wealth is not the slaves, the source of his wealth is the functional steelyard with all the metal and ammo presses. That is why he settled there, so that he can make the Pitt a great manufacturer settlement, since he says there's nothing else like that anywhere around.
Heh heh. One thing of historical importance is that EVERY slave owner admit to hating the institution and yet keep doing it any way. Hyprocripsy is an notable virtue of slavery society. So consider me less than impressed with his admittance.

And also, EVERY slave owner say his wealth is from the land, the weather, and maybe, just maybe the slave manager who whip other slaves regularly. They would never admit their wealth come from the slave's blood and toils. If ashur cant force slaves to toil away and forced to use free labors to work this shit (heavy work, dangerous, and can mutate) he would not be possible to live in his grandeur tower.

Hell, I cant believe I have to speak about such facts to westerners considering slavery is not that far in your history.
The thing about Wernher, is that he lies to the Lone Wanderer, he also plans on betray the LW sooner or later (as seen on the writer's notes).
But no ingame data say otherwise, right? I dont do writers' intention, I only do final data as presented by the game. Hell, even cut data, as long as they survive on released games (or dlc).
He makes the Pitt situation worse than it was. Since Midea says, people are all trying to kill each other since Wernher took control, and that she has no idea how Ashur managed to avoid that situation.
Also, nothing changes when Wernher becomes the "acting" leader of the Pitt, the slaves are still forced to work, they still complain about it, and as I mentioned before, even slaves that were friendly with the LW become hostile when talked to (like Milly).
Well shit, of fucking course Pitt is still not much better than before. The raiders got reduced in such number they no longer present in uptown or downtown . What food they have is going to get from trade in bigger number and take time. people are going to get irritated that things can not get better immediately. Like I said, slop~

But you know one thing is going to be better? No raider are going to kill slave at will. If slaves are not going to work by their own will, they damn well dont have anything to trade with outsiders. Not such little thing I tell you. it's much better when no one just going to kill me on their whim.
+++ I was very impressed the first few minute walking onto Downtown and a slave run past me with a raider chase after. Then when I turn around he's dead on the ground, whose corpse last until the revolt. EVERY TIME I walk passed that corpse it remind me Pitt is a slaver land

IT's not going to get better immediately because after a successful slave revolt it take time to get better, for the wounds to heal, both physically AND mentally.

I am not going to replay The Pitt.

But the next time I do a new run of TTW, I definitely going to the Pitt, and I am going to kill every possible raiders, other than the ones needed for event (like that unnamed guard with the half dead slave in the Mill, and slave master) before the revolt.

For one thing, it's more loot (in the revolt I suspect there will be more generic raiders spawned to compensate the lack) and easy transport back for storage.

For another, it's Karma, biatch~
