Here are some requirements to become a voice actor
1- Reading clear and loud
2- Cold reading skills
3- Being able to imitate or improvise characters
4- Demo reel
5- Home studio equipment: Microphone and accessories, Pre-amplifier, Headphones, Recording and editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, .cubes 2048......)

Also to get chosen for roles, and get paid
You need to be able to follow direction
You need to provide raw audio in .wav format, and not edited/altered or with any DSP or Noise reduction, the audio engineer takes care of that not you
Game VA is for games, not radio, don't mess with the EQ
Be prepared to redo takes if required
When you do an audition for a character, record a new one for that character, sending your demo reel will automatically get you rejected. Only send that if you are asked for one.
A noise free environment to do your recording. You need a dead space, no echoing, no fans, etc.
