I saw that Microsoft was acquiring Zenimax on my Star Citizen Organization Discord and they already own Obsidian.
What do you all think, good, bad or wait and see?

All it really means is people that like these developers probably shouldn't buy a PlayStation. I'm sure these games will come out on PlayStation, because Microsoft likes money, they might be delayed for a month or two though.
If consoles aren't your thing then the change in ownership will probably matter very little.

If that is all, that is really unfortunate. I expect better quality Fallout and other title releases especially since Microsoft also owns Obsidian Entertainment now. Or is that a pipe dream?

Probably a pipe dream. I'm more worried they'll use games released by these developers as exclusives for their useless online platforms and stop selling the new games on Steam and GoG. That's more likely than any amazing collaboration between Obsidian and Bethesda.

I don't like the sound of that since the potential is there but you are probably right.

Sadly, it's all about the Xbox Game Pass - you don't spend $7.5bn for anything other than acquiring exclusivity and dominance, and this was admitted by the Xbox boss himself this March:

And you don't spend these sorts of sums to merely make life more fun for Game Pass customers - you do it to make money and increase control in the market.
Thus I fear Lyndi's 2nd comment hits the nail on the head, it's not great news for Steam and probably far worse for GoG and their concept of players owning any of the games they pay for.
