Voice Acting Info

Ok hopefully this is the right place to post this. If not then please move it to where it would be best suited.

I'm just asking this out of sheer curiosity. I watched a youtube yesterday with DDproductions83 and RoyBatty where they discussed many things which included issues with voice actors. Anyway it got me a bit curious so I decided I'd ask about it.

What exactly is required for a person to be a voice actor? By that I mean requirements as far as hardware and software? Also I assume it requires a person with the ability to deliver lines in the correct manner required by the character being voiced. Anyway as I said I just got curious about this.

BTW... That youtube video was great. Found myself laughing my ass off throughout.... yes
