Weapon mod expansion/extended remastered ideas?

Post by Matrixrl3 » Sun Aug 14, 2022 1:52 am

Some of my fav mods back then where wme/wmx. (which I stupidly installed both of them because I was a complete idiot who was stuck with NMM and should have never done that) Though with the advent of new weapon models and animations, and with nvse as well as other script extenders improving dramatically over the years, I wonder if anyone had the idea to create a redux version of the weapon mod expansion/extension mods. Or considered a special variation of said mods.

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on the matter.

Over the years I have already done something like that and replaced almost every firearm in my game with real world weapon models from the Nexus. WMX for me is now basically the carrier for weapon mods, sounds and updated weapon data. The same applies to "Recipes for Weapon Mods", which holds all recipes for these weapon mods.
I would love to release it, but that's simply impossible, because I would need permission from all the modders and the list of mods required would be large, as I incorporated things like TTW, AWoPNV, AWoPFO3, TTW Interiors, Alton, Weapons of the new Millenia, many weapons from Millenia and some that I ported from FO3 and the list goes on. Sorry, that's not going to happen.

If you want to update WMX to properly work with TTW, I'd say go for it, although I have no idea what amount of work this would require, as I don't play vanilla TTW.

Fair enough, I'm someone who has immensly insane high-concept ideas for mods. Such as a crazy heavy rehaul of Fallout 4 I call Fallout 4: Revised.

I have absolutely no experience in modding so my only hope is to provide other modders with ideas that they can use, with the only thing I require being credit for the idea.
