Fallout 4 Like Artificial Intelligence?

Post by DeadlyKitten » Thu Jan 14, 2021 1:51 pm

Hi. I REALLY like Tale Of Two Wastelands, with its great exploration and role-playing, but after coming back from Fallout 4, the NPC and creature artificial intelligence seem positively... lacking (in my opinion, Fallout 4 is inferior to TTW in practically every other way). I'm searched and searched online, but it seems no one has made an artificial intelligence mod for New Vegas/TTW which emulates Fallout 4's. Is this possible?

And if so, is anyone here willing to create such a mod for me? I'm willing to pay if necessary.

AI is lacking how? I didn't find Fallout 4's particularly stellar.

You do know 3 and New Vegas are old games, right? As in,both came out in 2008 and 2010 respectively? As much progress as modding has made, there's no way in hell someone was able to do something like this.

Well, do you play with a Chinese Stealth Armor mod and spend much of your time invisible? I noticed that Fallout 4 AI is much better against an unseen opponent than TTW's. For one, if you shoot, they will shoot back in the general direction for a while if they could not see you. And if you're hit, they instantly detect you.

Hi, Roybatty. I admit that's not ideal, but that at least is better than Fallout 3's and New Vegas' run towards the general direction and getting shot multiple times along the way. Don't you agree?

Over the years that have been many "AI improving" mods. They are all buggy one way or another. Many cause giant bloat, lag, freezing and crash the game during combat.

Basically, AI improvement mods are a mess and shouldn't be used.

The closest mod to the one you asked for, that I found was Enhanced NPC Awareness, but just a quick look at the comments section shows that it suffers from most or all the problems I mentioned... Definitely not worth installing it.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the info, but the reason I asked here is because you guys know more about Fallout New Vegas' engine better than any other modder out there. I have this feeling that you guys can make it. Is this correct? Would like to hear your response. Thanks.
