Should I still use a bashed patch?

Post by Dynasuarez.Wrecks » Sun Jul 28, 2019 3:25 am

With so many mod authors on board with TTW -- like RoyBatterian, PushTheWinButton, JazzIsParis, Yukichigai, etc -- often using scripts and other neat tricks to implement their changes rather than directly editing records in the GECK, is it still as important now to create a bashed patch?

Bashed patch was never good for NV, and certainly not for TTW, nor mator smash or merged patch. The only way to make a patch correctly for it is to use "The Method" system by ElminsterAU (The author of FNVEdit, etc). There's a link on the discord for it in the pinned messages in the help channel.

Noted. Thank you much. Fortunately my mod list has been pruned down to only like a dozen particular authors who all for the most part create mods with built-in compatibility or carry over each other's changes where there are conflicts.

You can find The Method in the description of this mod:

Just scroll down until you reach "The Method".
