yeah, i think XP rocks too. i can play old dos games (no dosbox) all the way up to modern warfare 2, assassins creed 2, witcher 2.
I used XP for the longest time, but as the post above yours says, Win7 64-bit is almost mandatory for heavily modded games like Fallout and Elder Scrolls. That's what I use now for all the Bethesda games.

I guess there`s no way I can get A premade FOMOD. Even if I can prove I own the games, huh? Assets from both games are used in FOMOD creation. Not allowed. Back when Games for Windows worked, I had to prove to Bethesda I owned FO3. to get the DLC`s working. (dlc`s where in the gfw folder? not in data folder) sent them pics of my dvd. then GFW stopped working. did`nt play the DLCs for A while. then I put the DLCs in the data folder. that worked. btw my game runs ttw perfect. (all but the crash going in moriaritys` saloon) no stuttering or crashing. but I have minimum mods installed.

A premade FOMOD is a no. If you can't get the installer to work with your original copy of the game, which it should do, you can get the full version of FO3 with DLC's on Steam or GOG on sale for as low as $3. External USB storage is also cheap as dirt as well, if you need space to perform the install process.

As has been stated, Windows XP and TTW 2.9.4 are unsupported and if you choose to continue using them, you're kind of on your own there.

GoG versions work on XP, often on sale for $10 for both games complete.

yeah, no HD space for upgrade. i know there is no more support for TTW 2.9.4, but do you know how to fix the Moriaritys saloon crash problem? have to stick with 2.9.4 for now.
You could try NVAC and see if that helps.
yeah i have the latest NVAC. also NVSR (i read some where nvsr is better than tick-fix for XP OS). nvse 5.1.b4, jip 55.41. the problem i`m having= the game crashes when entering Moriaritys` saloon and getting double items in loot containers, dartX16 X2 etc. i have 0 mods installed. oh, i`m using the hot fix patch. heard the V2.2.2 fixes causes problems. i have a patch for TTW 2.9.4 and 2.2.2 fixes, but have not tried it yet.
I figured it out. I was using A body mod. BOG or Dim. I missed or forgot the part where it says not to use body mods. I seen it on the TTW 3.3? OR 3.2? page where it says that.

3.3 will no longer support XP. So don't upgrade if you use it.

It will require xNVSE and JIP which dropped XP support.

I'd instead recommend just taking out your XP drive (and stow it for safe keeping) and installing Win7 on it's own on a new drive - and that's if you can even still find a legit Win7 licence any more...
Y'know I never tried Win 7 until recently. I upgraded an old core2 duo Inspirion(circa 2008ish?) from 32 bit Vista to 64bit Win7 on a 120gb SSD, swapped the CPU for a core2 quad 3.0+ GHz and upgraded the ram from stock 4 gig 600 mhz to 8 gigs @ 800 mhz(old posts on Dell forums said that particular motherboard didn't support 64 bit OS, core 2 quads over 2.66 GHz, and only 4 gigs, and definitely not 800mhz ram - all wrong!)

Lastly, I popped in a gt1030 SC and a 500hdd for extra storage(the original Vista hdd)...

If I had a time machine it COULD have run Crisis! :D

I found the Inspiron at a trash dump. Trash dumps and recycling plants are good places to find PCs and spare parts. Ones in my area all have a separate area for electronics - don't go jumping in dumpsters. ;)
