Companion Chat Disabler...

I dont mind them talking bits here and there... Not what I am talking about.

I want to stop clicking on them beginning conversation, when I am trying to pick something up they are standing on... I am using JIP C&CC... so yes, I know I can ask them to step back. But too often I start conversation with Dogmeat, or Fawkes... when I simply want the bottle near their feet.

I did a search at many different mod resources and redit. I feel like this should have come up before. Even if it can't be solved there should be a trail of people asking for it. But I came up empty... Perhaps I couldn't phrase it properly... I just want to entirely disable the basic/original interaction, mostly because JIP C&CC is a far superior way of dealing with them, than chatting with them....

And besides all that, I wanted to express my Sincerest Gratitude to the developers of TTW. You have done an amazing job... Playing Fallout 3 for the first time since it was released, is a blast on the updated engine. First time I played FO3, I stupidly went head strong into the MQ, to suddenly find out the game was over, with literally no way to return to the game. (I bought/played/finished the game before the DLCs came out) I was so utterly disappointed and upset I just shelved the game.

On a related note: there were a lot of Bethesda's Bugs in the original game, and I played it before the community took the initiative to fix it for them. I distinctly remember being furious that the game had passed development and Q&A with Fawkes face being frozen. Lips didn't move, eyes didn't blink... But hey, I was on a mission; He wasn't gonna stop me... Low and behold while playing TTW, the same damn bug happened... I thot by now ~SOMEONE~ must have patched this, and stopped playing for a day to try and fix the "bug"... After not finding anything, I began hacking at the .nif and .kf files... I was going nuts. I then thot to myself, I should look up some youtube videos to see what exactly the animation looked like thinking it might give me a clue to my next step...............

LOL, uh... well, ya'll know the truth of the matter... He was always face-frozen, it a choice in the original design... What a waste of half a day... But, I swear I couldn't believe the same bug had followed me this many years later, and I couldn't find a quick easy solution, especially with the resources available now compared to the original release... LOL!!!

Anyway, if anyone knows a way to eliminate or shrink Fawkes's and others' interaction bubble, so I stop clicking on his/their feet, and him/them thinking it means I want an in depth conversation regarding anything other than telling him/them to shut the ef' up... I'd appreciate the heads up.

It seems you have the companion wheel disabled in JIP CCC. Sometimes I accidentally activate one of my companions as well, while trying to pick something up, but in my game that just pops up the companion wheel, which I can quickly exit by the press of a button. I guess you need to decide what you prefer, instant conversation or companion wheel.
