I just got the bug with the 1337 hacker perk. My science skill was 100+. I tested with science skill 1 and it fixed itself. So did more testing and found that with science 98 or higher, the terminals break. 100 hours, very modded save. If i remove the perk it fixes. Hope it helps.
Yeah my science skill was also 100 forgot to mention that. But yeah i removed it now so it's all good.

Maybe the perk should be removed from TTW completely because by the time you get it everyone will probably have 100 science so it's basicaly pointless.

That info really helped, my testing character had only 90 Science Skill, so that was why it didn't happened to me.

I was going crazy trying to reproduce this bug, I was trying every single Hard Terminal in the game and I was about to start making Perk combinations and that would have taken me several days to try it all out.

Thanks for the reports guys. :D

Resurrecting this because I ran into the same problem.
I tried to look for a solution in the forums but I couldn't find any news about update 3.3 and don't know how to disable the 1337 h@cK3r challenge perk.
Any help would be really awesome!

Nice, I found it here in https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Gamebry ... e_commands , under "Stats and Character Manipulation".

Using the ID from a previous post:

The ID you want is 10007b65 (unless you altered TTW LO).
I was able to remove the 1337 h@cK3r perk with: "player.removeperk 10007b65".
This fixed the problem.

Check the post right above yours. :D
After the quote block it's the command you should use.

Sorry for the necro but felt I should share my fix.

I was encountering this issue as well with 3.2.2 but I didn't have the 1337 hacker perk, just 100 science.

Added the perk to myself and the issue persisted...

Removed the perk after and that resolved the issue.

It's a bit of a weird one but hope it helps others!

I've run into the same issue in another playthrough. However, the perk doesn't have the original Form ID because the Load Order of my Mods are different this time around; Instead of "10007b65" the Form ID is "0C007B65".

After hours of trying to find a way to generate perk Form IDs with the console "~" (and failing), I
I found "FNV Edit". I'm not a pro modder and don't have many mods. I mainly just use TTW plus maybe 4-6 other mods and so I've never used this tool before now but it lets you see the Form ID of Perks and any other item or effect in the game.

This is how I did it.
Download it, extract it, Double click "FNVEdit.exe".
Dismiss the popups and make sure all boxes are checked in the "Module Selection" Window, then click "OK".
Wait for it to do it's thing.... Once that's done, look at the LEFT panel where all the mods and DLC are listed. Find "TaleOfTwoWastelands" and click the + to the left to expand this section. Scroll down to "P" section to find "Perk" and click the + to expand this section. Now Scroll Down to find "l337 H@cK3r" on the right in this list which is accompanied by it's Form ID on the left.

Open FNV-TTW, Load game, Open Console (~), "player.removeperk FormIDfromFNVEditStepsAbove".

Hope this helps anyone else having the same issue.
