OK your load order is WAY off

Post by JaxFirehart » Thu Aug 15, 2013 9:52 pm

OK your load order is WAY off. I assume you don't know how to change it. In order to help, we need to know which mod manager, if any, you are using. If you already know how to change load order, the first mods, in order, with no exceptions, need to be:

  • FalloutNV.esm

  • DeadMoney.esm

  • HonestHearts.esm

  • OldWorldBlues.esm

  • LonesomeRoad.esm

  • GunRunnersArsenal.esm

  • CaravanPack.esm

  • ClassicPack.esm

  • MercenaryPack.esm

  • TribalPack.esm

  • Fallout3.esm

  • Anchorage.esm

  • ThePitt.esm

  • BrokenSteel.esm

  • PointLookout.esm

  • Zeta.esm

  • TaleOfTwoWastelands.esm

If you have that figured out, try again. Start a NEW GAME. Sometimes bugs get saved into a playthrough even though the cause was fixed. Let us know if that helped, what changed etc...

Okay, navigate to your Data

Post by JaxFirehart » Fri Aug 16, 2013 12:43 am

Okay, navigate to your Data Directory (usually C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout new vegas\Data). List all of the files in that directory that start with "TaleOfTwoWastelands" or "TTW" please. We need to make sure that you even HAVE the assets.

Alright so you are missing

Post by JaxFirehart » Fri Aug 16, 2013 1:28 am

Alright so you are missing the entire TaleOfTwoWastelands - Sound.bsa. Run the installer again but in the third field (Tale Of Two Wastelands Location) send it to a temporary folder somewhere (C:\Temp or your desktop or similar). Once it is finished copy the entire directory and paste it into your NV folder (ensuring that folders line up: Data goes into Data).

Before you do any of that, though, navigate to My Documents\My Games\TaleOfTwoWastelands and upload your install log. That will tell me if the install had any errors.

Finally, windows 7, or windows XP?
