The problem occurs whilst the installer is processing when it gets to around file 89595 (I have found the file number can differ by a few digits) at which point it says Error has occurred: BASS Stream create error. When I click to cancel an error message box comes up saying Error occurred processing file: sound\voi...\ms13slaves_ms13mezzed3_0002d6b9_1.ogg. After a lot of research I have found out that this particular file is from point lookout's dialogue file for the npc rip smithy.
I'm trying to install this on windows 10 (genuinely awful operating system)
My computer is quite good so I don't think it's a problem with specs (I can provide specs if needed)
Things I have tried:
Making sure I run the installer as administrator at all times
Ensuring both games and installer file locations are not in system protected locations
I tried all Bass related troubleshooting in the faq
I tried redownloading the installer
I verified all game files
Made sure to run the game launchers to detect system
Updated audio drivers
Spent 3 hours researching bass filesystems to try and figure out the exact cause to no avail
Spent 2 hours trying to research the file that failed to process to see what the cause was. to no avail.
I'm literally at the end of my tether for this problem. I don't get stressed out that often with computer problems.... unless they refuse to give an understandable reason for why its not working. And I just have no idea with this one.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Even if I am an idiot that missed something obvious if you manage to help fix it, you will be praised!!
