It`s possible to kill Dean Domino?

I`m playing Dead Money the part of Sierra Madre. And the only way to continue the story to me is to get the key from Dean Domino, but he only gets unconscious how can I get the key from him?

There are mods that let you loot unconscious NPCs, but I can't tell you if it works for what you want.
