Vaults and Ghouls facinate me the most...

Post by Mystical Panda » Tue Apr 26, 2016 4:14 pm

... as I wonder through vaults and clear out the ferals from the sewers I can't help to think how things might've been different if I'd been the one who was born or raised in an "experimental" vault, or exposed to an ungodly amount of radiation -being both ghoulified and stupdified at the same time AROOOO!- Lol!... they would be the ones hunting and killing me.

One of the endings in Fallout

One of the endings in Fallout 1 is to join the master and become a Super Mutant. Your idea isn't too far off that one =)

That would be an amazing

That would be an amazing option, if the player could chose to become, let's say a super mutant. No so much at character creation, but let's say, if your rads remain too high for too long, you wake up after sleeping, and your a ghoul! No going back! With the super mutant angle, once you enter the vault where  they come from, you can choose an FEV injection, then after fade-out and fade-in, your a super mutant!! with lower agility and intelligence, but greater strengths, etc.,.

Super Mutants in FO3 are made

Post by Risewild » Mon Aug 21, 2017 2:51 pm

Super Mutants in FO3 are made by air FEV, not injection FEV though. Make it so the player breathes it devil.

Hey there raider.... mind if I 'borrow' that gaaaaaaaas mask?

Yes! Just by going into the vault you have a % chance to be infected, and progresses over time. At first your skin simply changes color to more green, then you resize your body model, then a completely different body model altogether! You be... SUPAH-MOOTANT... RUN AWAAAAAAAAAY! RUN AWAAAAAAAAAY!

If the "master" hadn't

Post by mortemim » Tue Aug 29, 2017 6:53 pm

If the "master" hadn't insisted on being a dictator, the concept of turning all worthy humanity into super mutants would've been a good plan. Radiation immunity, incredible regeneration, and if done correctly there are no intellectual penalties. The Mojave mutants are remains from the original dips from 2161 by the New Vegas plot line it is 2281 and Tabitha is not only still alive, she seems healthy at roughly 140 years of age.

TL:DR destroying the vats was a big mistake, should've refined the process without the whole slavery bits.

As far as I know, super

As far as I know, super mutants can't breed. Therefore, turning ALL your population into sterile individuals is bad, even if they're tough to kill. Eventually, you need more. Now, most folk probably wouldn't want to be changed, so as long as it was voluntary, then it might have worked out better.

That's like father in FO4;

That's like father in FO4; looking to create a better more resilient humanity. If he couldv'e only seen Westworld.

What he didn't notice was the Synths were already, for whatever reason, becoming more 'independent', and taking measures accordingly sometimes very covertly. Now, you create a whole race of synths that are the 'police' for all the others -better, stronger and faster than any human could ever be-, and if things really go south, you've got a huge problem. You've just handed them the entire human race, or what's left of it, Will Smith style. What he didn't see, and Danse did, was the potential danger of what was being 'put in place' and how, worse than the atomic bombs which stopped production while humanity tried to rebuild; synth production would never stop once out of human control.

Ironically, the synths became more 'human', and the human scientists, through their 'experiments' with living people, became more machine like. That should've been the first sign of trouble.
