Not to be contrarian, but the dogs and praetorian guards around caeser's tent make it impossible to disguise yourself inside, much less talk with him.

It's fine, really, now that I understand what's causing it. You can't be friends with everyone, so you'll have to choose sides.

You can for awhile, especially if you do side quests that involve killing other faction members first (like camp forlorn hope).  You'll be hostile to the factions you've been killing for awhile but when you get to the Mr House questline you'll get messengers from the other factions saying something like "we hate you but we'll give you one more shot" and then reset your faction to neutral.  Eventually you still have to go all in for one faction though and there's no avoiding making the others hostile then.  You can complete most of the game though before getting to that point if you delay progress in the main quest.

I generally try to be neutral

I generally try to be neutral until I get strong enough for the Legion assassin squads, then I look at them as a good source of weapons to trade/sell. smiley

The one choice I hate making the most is taking out the BoS. I like those guys. The ones in NV are definitely more sympathetic than in either FO3 or 4. They're closer to the Outcast from FO3.

Yeah I tend to be the type that wants to complete every possible quest I can when I play, even the ones for the factions I intend to eventually destroy so I am careful about what order I do things in and I tend to delay the main quest as long as possible.

I also have similar issues with the Legion assassins since I use one of the more difficult settings in PN and I initially put all of my skill points into non combat skills.  I also use a bookperks mod so skill books don't give any skill poiints.  So I basically have level 1 combat skills until sometime around level 10, although I do take a lot of combat boosting perks as I level up.

The situation is even more severe in DC, those Enclave encounters after you get to the Citidel make the Legion look like chumps.  Talon company hitmen are more along the lines of the Legion in terms of difficulty in DC and they start coming after you very early.

Yeah, I use the Talon mercs as the cash fund in DC. Their weapons and armor generally buy the goodies for the Megaton house. laugh
