Tale of two wastelands worth it? Or is it better to just mod each game seperatly?

I mean the mod seems fun and kinda amazing but. It makes it so you are very limited with your other usage of mods.
So im asking does having both games in one make such a improvment that its worth getting and sacrificing the usage of other mods.

What do you mean, mod each game separately?

If you want to play FNV alone, you can choose to start in Mojave, and take a train back to Capital Wasteland whenever, and vice versa. If you just want to play in CW, you dont need to take a train to Mojave.

With TTW, you can play FNV and F3 content, double the fun~

If you complain about a lot of mods not compatible with TTW322, well, that's the price of being a big mod. Same thing happen with California or whatever.

if you like other (incompatible) mods so much, you can always play FNV alone, without TTW, to play with such mod. Using Mod Organizer 2 you totally can do it that way. Just set up a different instance.

I just dont get your point~

Considering it fixes bugs for both games, yes. That alone is worth it.

Readdress this question again after spending sometime with fallout3...

You totally do better with fnv ttw rather than f3 vanilla or 3ven modded.

There are many good functions in fnv that simply doesnt exist in f3.

Like various type of ammo. Or mods for guns.

Or time show for duration of buffs.

Or repair simply get crippled. You can see repair but you cant do it because your skill is not up to snuff. In fnv you can do repair to 100 by overspending parts. No such thing in f3.

Or the dumb perks that just add to skills. Boring.
‐----
In short you are going to mod a lot just to get some function of fnv vanilla. Even then some are impossible.
____
The only reason anyone would mod f3 is to play the various quest mods designed specifically for capital wasteland. No way to convert them for fnv ttw so they are unique that way. Like plo reborn or shadow ò the swamp

Hello.

Yeah, it is definitely worth it.
It fixes tons of bug. And following the guide (https://thebestoftimes.github.io/Lite/lite-index.html) is absolutely priceless and up-to-date. It takes between 30 mns and 1h and it's braindead, just follow the instructions!
EZ-PZ your game is optimized and rocks.

The guide is best followed carefully but DONT delete Fallout 3 just yet.

As I said before, there's certain points to play F3 instead of FNV or TTW in FNV.

1. One major reason, can not stress it enough, is the huge amount of quest mods for F3 that still unconverted to TTW.

2. Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Point Look Out, has a one or two quest/location mods in TTW and that's it. But in F3 they each has plenty of locations and quest mods, each one a fully fleshed out game.

3. There's a method to play F3 which is advance level to 14 right at start of game, but set xp at 0, and use slower level rate. This would make hostiles at high level, and your own skill point low. The point is a gameplay reward exploration: most of your skill increase would come from the multitude books in cells you explore. You would need to explore the world outside of DC ruins and stay away from Super Mutants (because too tough) in the ruins.

That method need a slight edit (to level 16) to work with FNV and only by starting in CW.
