Why was companion nerve disabled in NV?

Was there ever an explanation from the devs as to why nerve was disabled and replaced with the seemingly broken/half done Companion Suite perk? Tried to google but methinks I didn't dump enough points into the google-fu skill

Nerve is hard coded , it is not removed at all.

The companion suite perk works as intended.

Oh ok...the wiki says that the latest version of NV disabled nerve and that companion suite was meant to replace it which got me curious.

On a side note will 3.3 have a recipe for mirelurk cakes? Looks like a piece of meat and a tin of flour could make 2-3 cakes as apparently 2-3 crab cakes IRL serves one person, at least from the rudimentary googling I did. Maybe could throw in a mirelurk egg too as part of the required ingredients.

The wiki isn't usually a reliable source of information. I found out so many errors, head-canon, and rubbish on it that makes my head hurt.

Usually, the reliable info is the IDs of stuff, some quest guides and dialogue files. Many modding information, and even lore stuff, in it isn't correct. It's the problem with allowing random people to edit it whenever they want to.
