If it has a plugin it needs to be converted, doesn't matter what it is. Don't run any FO3 plugin that hasn't been converted.

You can find the conversion script provided here viewtopic.php?f=55&t=6525. The conversion script is only a means to get you started on the conversion of FO3 mods, which after you need tools like xEdit, Geck, Nifscope, 3DMax, Audacity, etc depending on what/scale needed to be "fixed" on said mods. Some are easy while some are complex but definitely time consuming. If you are new and curious, just fiddle with the ones in bold before you dive into doing conversions.

Yup that how it was and every wannabe bail out/move on/abandon after realizing the amount of time and effort needed. Let's just take the time to thank and hug those who are still around doing this on their own time and volition.
