Red wants to live in a jail cell and Sarah Lyons standing up unconscious

Just found a bug with TTW 2.7.2 version, where 'Red' the doctor of Big Town suddenly decides to move back into Germantown Police HQ Jail Cell after completing the 'Big Trouble in Big Town' quest by rescuing Red and Shorty and escorting both of them back into Big Town - I then taught the Big Town residents on how to use guns to defend themselves with and everything seemed to be fine after the quest completed.. But days of game time later on, when I returned there Red was no longer in Big Town - I tracked her down to her old prison cell in Germantown Police HQ, from where I had previously rescued her. For some odd unknown reason, Red seems to prefer a life of imprisonment to freedom in Big Town. I tried teleporting Red back to Big Town with console commands, but instead of resuming her normal activities in Big Town (being a town doctor), she immediately goes to walk off to get back to the prison cell she likes so much. (While she was temporarily brought back to Big Town by console, she had a functional dialogue option for trading medical supplies though). Note that Shorty has settled just fine to life in Big Town, it is only Red who has an obsession with prison cell.


Another more minor bug I recently found was right after the Broken Steel begins and the Lone Wanderer wakes up from two weeks of coma - Sentinel Sarah Lyons is supposed to be lying unconscious on a stretcher in the Citadel Infirmary, but instead she is standing up next to the stretcher while pretending to be unconscious (no dialogue etc), eyes shut and all.


 


My System essentials: i5 3570K, 8GB RAM, Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64, SSD install.



Mods in use: Manual install TTW version 2.7.2 (no error messages of any kind during install) with optionals(TTW Anchorage Customization, TTW Bobbleheads, TTW Outcast Trading, TTW No Karma Followers, TTW XP Reduction, TTW More Cooking Items, TTW Speech Checks, TTW Reputation and TTW Stash Pack Options), plus other mods including TTW Interiors series of mods, TTW Alton IL Reloaded, texture packs (NMCs and Poco Bueno), TTW Equipment Looted when going to NV 1st time, More Enemies at Hoover Dam Final Battle, Power Armor Footstep Sounds, Perk Every Level, Level Cap 100, Enhanced Camera and TTW Realistic Wasteland Lighting.

I may have also encountered the Red bug, though I hadn't tracked her back to her cell. I just noticed she was missing after the big supermutant battle. I did notice during the rescue that she wasn't in her cell, she was fighting radroaches with a chinese assault rifle (and losing) elsewhere on the same floor.


I can't speak to the Sarah Lyons issue, I haven't made it that far yet.

In my game Red is still in her clinic in Bigtown several days after I saved her and dealt with the mutant attacks frown.

The Red bug might be a random glitch of some kind, maybe it has something to do with how exactly the final fight versus supermutants goes in Big Town or somesuch?


I tried further actions with console to set Red straight, kill, disable, enable, resurrect, and still Red picks up a Travel Package which makes her walk back to the Germantown HQ prison cell. As an interim solution, I went to Red's Clinic Basement, teleported Red there and quickly exited into her house and immediately used a console command to lock the clinic basement door with skill 100 - This keeps her in Big Town, at least, as now she cannot exit the basement she has been locked in. It seems that her AI has persistently chosen the Germantown HQ jail cell as her place of residence, for reasons unknown to me.


The minor issue with Sarah Lyons was not a persistent one, when I returned to the Citadel later after the first mission of Broken Steel, she was then lying down comatose on the infirmary stretcher like she should be (well, positioned the wrong way, with her feet on the elevated end of the stretchers). Oh well, can't really complain much since she is actually being treated by a repurposed and reprogrammed pre-war Mr.Gutsy military robot instead of a real doctor.. smiley

not to necro a thread.. but It seems her heading back to germantown has something to do with buying supplies off of her.


she sticks in her clinic until you ask to buy supplies off of her, all other options don't send her back to the jail cell. she can heal you, as well as remove rads. also fixing timebomb seems to have no bearing on the jail cell return.


only after buying stuff off red does the end topic change to what looks like a different end option (a highlighted "good bye red") and it sets her off on her walk back to the cell.


 


Edit:   Nevermind on the different end topic,   its just accessing her stock that sends her off.   I just hit her stock and had her heal me  and she wandered off before finshing the script

Had the same issue with Red. I did the quest quite low leveled, so the only option I had, was to help them out. I think I can more or less confirm the statement about Red going off to Germantown after you use her services - she stood in place just long enough to heal me and buy some stuff off me.


And then she went on on a hike, and no amount of resurrecting and disabling/enabling fixed her package.


It should be noted that at the time I still used an altered timescale. Decker, Mak10z, did you make any changes to your Timescale?

Robots. (science)  I can go back and try stealth, or guns and report back.


 


EDIT:  Went back and tried all 3 options (apparently I messed the Mine (explosives) option).  after choosing to check her inventory she goes on her stroll back to german town    in all 3 options she sticks around until you ask to buy medical supplies


 


EDIT #2:   Ok,  after going over the quest in FNVEdit,  it looks like the culprit is the TTW_Reputation.esp   


I disabled it and she no longer goes on her stroll back to the jail cell after accessing her wares
