While you guys and girls are foaming through the mouth waiting for the release of 3.0, we will just give you this news:


TTW 3.0 will contain a fully fixed Rock-it Launcher!


Yes, you read it right, the Rock-it Launcher will work perfectly in TTW 3.0, it works in VATS mode and even shoots Fallout New Vegas-only clutter in addition to the Fallout 3 clutter.


If you want to thank us for our work making this a reality, you should direct the thanks to LuthienAnarion and jazzisparis. They were the geniuses that managed to do the heavy lifting to allow this to happen!


 


Now get ready to conquer two wastelands shooting teddy bears and dino toys!

That is good news.  The Rock-it Launcher is something everybody has used at least once in Fallout 3 just for it's pure ridiculousness that made it awesome.  The great thing about the Rock-it Launcher is that it makes everything in the game from burned books, spatulas, mutilated organs, etc useful because they are potential ammo.

The rock-it launcher uses a list of form ids for the "ammo" - I imagine it was mainly finding the time to add a BUNCH of ids to the list covering all the various NV clutter that could possibly be shot.

If it was just that we would have it working years ago wink.


You see, the Rock-it Launcher is pretty much hardcoded, and it would create crashes constantly too even without the FNV clutter as ammo. It would crash on VATS, it would crash on reload, it would crash on equip, it would crash a lot and we couldn't do anything about it because hardcoded.


Luthien and jazzisparis had to make some amazing magic to be able to fix this. If it was just adding FNV clutter to a list we wouldn't be making this thread about it, this is really extraordinary work. laugh
