that solves one, /one/, continuity error. and opens the door for having to comb the games for all of them. why wouldn't we know what BoS are when we meet veronica? oh, the amnesia thing? but you can go back and visit the citadel and all your glorious reputation and good feelings (or burning hatred if you happen to be me and bomb the shit out of those assholes when the chance comes) before ever talking to her. now we're looking at "what stage of amnesia is the courier in while traveling the wastes, and how do we stop it from making you look dumb?". we could figure all these things out and track them, but that seems like a lot of work for some things that only deal with rp. i.e. plenty of things that a dedicated modder could handle in a way that would make sense, and would allow all the modders interested to tell their own stories of how things go together rather than relying on our own preferences to tell that story.

... I was joking, I don't
... I was joking, I don't think it is essential enough to change FNV just for something like this .
But if someone want's to make an enormous continuity mod for TTW who am I to stop people, any volunteers? .

I would do it if I had three
I would do it if I had three things:
-
Knowledge -
Motivation -
Skill
Since I have none of those I will have to just hope someone else will do it .

Retlaw is doing it. It's called Unity. It's not part of TTW but a mod. Also it's on hiatus. Also Retlaw's on hiatus. Also other stuff.

IMO this type of thing is
IMO this type of thing is best left to a mod that tries to make the combined storylines of both games make better sense together. I seem to remember seeing someone already working on a mod along those lines here that does things like require the platinum chip from NV to get into Vault 112 in DC, etc. You could add various other restrictions where if you haven't done event A in DC you can't do event B in NV and vice versa, but one of the things people like about this style of game is that you're not force to do things in a linear progression.

I think it'd be fair, at least in that particular situation, to brush it off as a roleplaying opportunity. Sure, the Lone Wanderer/Courier definitely knows about the Brotherhood in DC, but what about this Brotherhood in Nevada? Or what about this Veronica girl, what does she think about the Brotherhood? Maybe the Courier is choosing not to be forthcoming with their allegiances. That sort of idea.
As far as continuity issues in general, it seems best to me to accept in difficult situations that two games have been merged here that were not intended to be merged. If the issue in general cannot be fixed by altering a bit of dialog or other simple means, it should be up to people to reconcile that in their own headcanon or merely disregard it.

just scream "where's your brain!" for 30 seconds and slap that into the dialogue. don't even bother with lipsynch or subs

I like this, especially if the dialogue recording is clipping into the red like all hell
