Project Nevada w/ Extra Options TTW Patch

This patch is a continuation of Thatchor/Jax's, and Puppettron's PN TTW patch https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/project-nevada-patch

All credit goes to them for the creation of this patch originally.

Requirements:

This version of the patch is fully updated for TTW, and you don't have to do anything fancy to delete files, just overwrite them with this patch.

This patch requires ALL modules of PN and ALL modules of Extra Options.

Features

  • Full Rebalance and Rebalance Complete support
  • Full Unfound Loot support
  • Full DLC support
  • Full TTW support
  • Painstakingly went through all food items

If you encounter any issues please post them in the thread.

Known possible issues:

  • Pinkerton may not sell things if not started from a new game
  • I may have missed a few unfound loot exclusions

DO NOT ask for a version without module X, I will ignore it.

Thank you very much for the unfound loot addition, that was one thing I was waiting for in the TTW patch.

A question though, since i restarted my game. Do uniques also fall under the "special modes" for PNs weapons, like say chargeable A3-21's plasma rifle, and Wazer Rifle, Metal Blaster ect?

Energy Weapons require

Energy Weapons require scripts for the charging, I believe Thatchor did include that functionality.

As for the level cap, if you download Extra Options 1.3 the cap is raised to 95.

I've noticed that certain

I've noticed that certain food items (Dog and Brahmin steaks so far) that have dramatically lower Satiation values compared to PN rebalance. I've compared in FNVEdit and can confirm this plugin is causing it.

Yours appears to lower the levels back to vanilla, which may be completely intentional, but I thought I'd bring it up.

EDIT: I only bring it up because some aspects seems a little wierd in comparison to others. For example, a brahmin steak currently gives me 90 food, while a squirrel on a stick gives me 135. While I'm sure squirrels are very nutricious, are they supposed to be better than a steak?

Damn you Roy, I just had my fallout install just the way I liked it. 

Jokes aside, thanks for the patch, I hated to have to go through and make another custom merged patch, mais c'est la guerre.

I can't thank you enough for all the hard work, ttw has made FO3 bearable to play again, and bringing these mods to the wasteland is just icing on the cake.

EDIT: One Observation, the Dog Steak Satiation Value is even lower than vanilla now (20 vs 35, and PN normally has it at 80). Since the rest of them seem in line with PN changes I feel like this was an oversight. I'd be interested in knowing if I'm wrong.

I lowered more than one in

I lowered more than one in satiation, I felt they were way too powerful. The wasteland salad, caravan lunch, all the steaks, nuka lurk stuff being anywhere from 80 to 220 in satiation. I cut everything down by a least half of these ridiculous figures in most cases, and a bit less in others.

You can always change them to your own desires. :)

Well I found some .32 in game, so looked around a bit in FNVEdit and found that list and this patch adding it. If the list isn't used I guess something else caused it then.

so i have to ask this

so i have to ask this question. since this is yours now im hoping you will answer. where is the eye implant in the tec museam. i have played both of the other pn-ttw mods, thatchor and darths, and no one has given a solid answer and myself and others have turned that place upside down. sorry if this comes off as rude i do not mean it that way it is just a rather aggravating thing. thank you for the new version as well. i cant wait to start it up :)

So, I'm tempted to start

So, I'm tempted to start playing TTW again and seeing as there won't be a compatibility patch in the near future. Would this work okay if I used the WMX+EVE PN Patches from Nexus along with TTW WMX and EVE versions?I really want to play this but the lack of compatibility is really frustrating.

Or can I just avoid compatibility patches all-together and it will work...sort of okay?

Greer please stop whining. If you're not going to do it yourself, don't complain. Anyway, the EVE patch works fine. The WMX one does not. Don't use it. Nothing bad will happen. PN and WMX aren't incompatible at all.

I honestly would if I knew how to, last time I touched anything remotely edit based for Bethesda games was back in Morrowind days. If you could link me to a tutorial or two in a PM I would probably look into it as I have free time to work on this stuff.

I actually was wondering the same about a PN-WMX patch. I see that RoyBatty is hard at work with the PN patch, but I do have a bit of experience with FNVedit and making custom patches. 

I'm going to try my hand at a PN-WMX patch; no guarantees but if it all works out and I get the permissions, I will upload it. If that goes OK then I'm going to try making a BOE-WMX patch, BOE was always one of my favorite weapon mods...

 

Edit: OK at first look this seems pretty easy to patch PN with WMX, and you can do it yourself in about 5 minutes.. Using the existing PN-WMX (non TTW) patch will work, then loading up FNVedit and creating a merged patch should fix the FormID list issues. Then it's just a matter of deleting dupe weapons (RoyBatty already did it in the PN-TTW patch, so any dupe weapons will show up red as a conflict; just drag the "Deleted" flag from the PN-TTW patch to the WMX-PN patch).

From there it looks like everything will work OK.. PN Weapon mods won't spawn in DC's vendor inventories but that should be easy enough to patch. Obviously I still need to test to make sure that everything else works OK.

Appologize in advance if this is in the wrong topic (as my modding situation is a little complicated). 

 

What I have: Full PN & DLCs, PN-EO, TTW-WMX (from here), PN-WMX (there are other mods but IMHO those are the relevant ones, loaded in that order).

What I see: Lucas Slimms has a Chinese assault rife(CAR), when I looted it from his corpse, I see I can mod it with 3 mods ( CAR short barrel, CAR night scope, CAR forged receiver). Here's the kicker though, those are not the mods for the CAR according to this - they should be: 5.56mm Drum Magazine / 5.56mm Recoil Compensator / Assault Rifle Scope. 

My theory is that there are 2 different guns (with same name) from TTW and PN and the gun I looted is from TTW and not PN. If so is there a mod somewhere that override TTW weapons with PN/WMX modern weapons ones?

The PN weapons are

The PN weapons are restorations of Fallout 3 weapons that had full or partial assets for them in New Vegas.

They are removed from the TTW patch because they are redundant and conflict with TTW.

Thanks @darthbdman and @RoyBatty. I've removed PN-WMX and continued on my existing save - no crash, probably because I was fresh out of Vault 101 and didn't have any WMX items in my inventory.

I went to Crater Side Supply and the girl sells a Lever Action Rifle, and somehow this gun is not moddable :\

I opened TTW in FNVEdit and found the ID of the LAR that comes with the mod. I tried to add that gun through console and that gun is moddable. One strange thing is that the LAR from the shop looks brand new with sharp texture/color whereas the gun I got from the console looks old and worn (similar to the LAR that comes with FO3 Point Lookout DLC).

Is there any way to find out the FormID of this gun so that I can figure out what mod I have that is causing this?

Get the gun, drop it on the

Get the gun, drop it on the ground, open the console " ~ " key, click on the gun and it should show the name of it and an ID on the top of the screen, check the first two characters of that ID and it will show the position of the mod that adds the weapon on your Load Order.

Otherwise I bet FNVEdit could be used too somehow.

Ok, something really weird happened. The id of the gun is ff001dbd. Link

I know the first 2 character of the ID is the load order of the mod, but the highest mod that I have loaded is 3A - and there's no way I have 256 mods installed at all.

I tried searching for formID xx001dbd (xx = 00 to 3A) in FNVEdit with all my mods and there are a few hit but none is a weapon. Googling for xx001dbd didn't turned up anything either.

 

Edit: I ran to Rivet City and bought a bunch of guns there, they are all moddable exception their LAR.

That's because when it is

That's because when it is laying on the ground it is a reference to the weapon. References that are generated in game (i.e. not placed there in the GECK) use the FF Load Order ID to denote that it is saved in the player's saved game.

While you have it clicked on, open the console and enter 'GBO' and it will return the referenced weapon's formID instead of the reference's formID.

This LAR comes from PN-Equipment module. Is there a way to stop items from this module to spawn in shop / on emeny? I can't just not loading it since Project Nevada - TTW.esm depends on this

By "ALL" optional plugins does that include the by default un checked option the equipment overhaul. Because when I install the optional project Nevada mod those files are all missing even when I click it.
