Cross-game content: bethesda armor in multiple games?

Apparently there is this tool that allows for armor to be made compatible with Fallout 4 from Skyrim over here.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/21111/?

Also in that post is a way of apparently getting Fallout 3 and New Vegas armors into Fallout 4. It sounds pretty neat. What does everyone else think?

It's not a tool, it's a tutorial on how to use the tools already out to convert the meshes. You can find dozens of these, with many on youtube with an accompanying video.

That's something I'd

That's something I'd definitely like to take a look at when I get a chance; I'd like to include some "programmatic" conversions here and there as I'm developing. Eventually, I'm hoping to have a very easy system to add new areas and assets, etc.,. but that's awhile before I can even being looking into that aspect of the project, and I'll have tons of questions- I'm working on the game "manager" for us atm, and I'll need to add a few more 'back-end' programs (I'm working on two simultaneously as I go, adding functionality as I need it) and tons of "analysis" routines before It's ready to be put through it's paces. I'm a little over a month in and here's the front-end app:

It's has user definable functions, and lots of other things that will hopefully make modding easier.

That looks AWESOME! I suppose you'll eventually support all the Beth games?

Thanks! That's what I'm hoping to achieve in time, not only for us here, but for everyone whose interested. The CLI BSA back-end handles Morrowind - SkyrimSE now, though Skyrim SE doesn't have decompression yet (it seems the decompression dll might handle pointers differently than zlib1.dll- I've got that on the back burner in lieu of the front-end app), and Fallout 4 in in the queue to do. The BSA back-end exports BSA data in XML style text format, and can rebuild the data BSA back from the same- change the text and rebuild it if you want). I've tested it out on the official files and they reproduce the same, so we're good there. The esp, esm back-end has a few features now, just enough to pump what I need to the front-end app, but it needs quite a few more features before it's gonna be useful.

I really love the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series, but modding it is a frustrating and tedious adventure at best. My goal is to achieve, in time, an inter-connected tool base where all of us can pretty much add, very easily, things we want to in the game.
