Beantown Interiors

So I started to make my Collectables for Beantown Interiors. 

I've got 

 

  • 3 different toy Airplanes
  • Toy APC
  • Toy Mega Loader
  • Toy Motorcycle
  • Toy Nuka-Cola Machine
  • Toy Tractor 
  • Toy Train engine
  • UFO Toy

What am I missing? Have you guys seen any cool stuff I should turn into collectables? 

any ideas are welcome, thanks!

I'm still tossing that around. I do have a bunch of Bobbleheads that didn't make the cut for Bobblehats because they just didn't fit the Skills. I'm going to do something with them too but I was leaning towards "Those Damn Monkeys"

That damned thing was a popular toy back in the 40s when I was a little kid and I never knew why.  It creeped me out big time even then but there was was one sitting around glaring at you in about every house you went in.  I think parents knew they scared the kids too. :)

just added the tank (forgot about that one)  I also added a "Liberty Prime Toy" 

You can now craft static version of all toys in the workshop menu. This way you can decorate you home without them being kicked over by NPC's. the crafting is toggleable and requires one or more of the item in your inventory so the crafting menu is not cluttered up.

just saw it, I'm going to give it a shot and put up a "Test Version" for people with the issue to try. I'll do this latter today or this evening. 

thanks for the heads up though! 

Edit: The fix does work BUT! The player can no longer Sprint in any of the cells with the occlusion culling fix.

Yay on all this.  And yay on that occlusion/cell thing! I noticed it in concord and then promptly forgot about it after I stopped going in to concord buildings very often.

 

Also, the mod author of this fix posted this:

 

HOW TO FIX THE NO SPRINT BUG

This Bug is caused by limitations imposed by the game engine. Any mod that makes changes to a cell inside a settlement 
will cause these issues. However, there are work-arounds in place. Try this for the No Sprint Bug:

Go to MyGames/Fallout 4 and open the Fallout4Custom.ini.

Add the following under [Gameplay]:

fPlayerDisableSprintingLoadingCellDistance=0

I fixed the occlusion issue

I fixed the occlusion issue by setting the issue cells "No Pre Vis". This does cause the sprint bug for every cell flagged but, I've included a Beantown Interiors .ini in the nexus version. This ini will temporarily set the sprint fix you above while the mod is active. 

The sprint bug is caused by the Pre-Combined meshes, for some reason sprinting is tied to them. I find this odd but it's a Beth game so we should expect ODD! 

I forget who off the top of my head but someone at Beth said they fixed the issue by removing the Pre-Combined mesh requirement from sprinting. This announcement came shortly after the last patch but they did say it would be included in the next update. Hopefully that will come soon.

Hey Chuck, I know Far Harbor added back the Gnomes, but did Bethesda even change the model at all from the 3/NV version? Since they do look a little more low poly/res then the other Fallout 4 clutter.

Nope There basically exactly the same. They do have more detail and the models seem a little different but for the most part just the same as before.

I love your interiors mods Chuck and I'm appreciative of all the time you've spent making them. I genuinely hope that Bethesda finds a way to fix the mess they have created and you and others will be able to share mods in the future without the constant threat of theft.

I agree. This is one of those have to have mods. Can't imagine playing without it. Hopefully by the time Chuck has his next update things will have been resolved with Beth but I'm not counting on it.

I'm looking forward to seeing BI return, I missed installing it by a few hours while I was at work. I opened up the page, kept it open to install when I got back, and sadly it was down when I got back. I hope that Bethesda get their act together and fix the issue they've gone and made.

I'm holding off for now just to see what (If anything) does to resolve the situation BUT, if they don't fix the mess I will be hosting links here at some point. 

I will keep the files restricted from the general public but, people will be able to ask for access. 

Edit: I guess the worst case scenario would be I work on the mod as I continue to do while waiting for the plebs to move onto destroying the Skyrim community and have lost interest in Fallout.

There is always the debated

There is always the debated question these days: Should the modders require F4SE just to prevent people from stealing the mods and uploading them for consoles?

The problem with that is that PC players could still use the stolen product, but that could easily be avoided if the mod author uploads the mod on Bethesda.net too I guess...

I just hope Bethesda starts to respect modders and starts moderate the uploaded mods better and faster.

all of the possible DRM we could put in could always be stripped out if the thief wanted to take the time to do it right. Doesn't matter if it's F4SE or some Debug checks to break consoles. 

I'm not doing that just yet but I may burry so many things in the mod that consoles don't like or can't deal with that it becomes more trouble to steal then it's worth. 

For now I'm only giving my stuff to friends and people I know.

Chucksteel, I'm wondering, do you think removing it will have an effect on whatever actions Bethesda makes?  Not that I have personal stake in this either way since I haven't even purchased F4, but I am curious. 

Personally, I doubt they'll even notice.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you aren't permitted to upload or not upload your work as you see fit.  You totally are.  I just don't see how it accomplishes anything. 

But then I find myself perplexed by this whole situation.  Where is the motive to steal what is already free?  People can't make money off of it.  And presumably people can convert mods for personal use anyway without publicly displaying them can't they?  So I don't see what the motive is.

The motive is apparently because "modders are PC elitists" and so stealing the mod and uploading it for consoles its "a statement against this classism and elitism mindset":

Also I need to point out that this mod thief only posted that once he got complaints from people saying that this mod broke their saves, so only then he said he stole the mod and people should complain to the mod author about the crashes (which was one of the reasons the author didn't released it on consoles in the first place, now after this I doubt the author will ever release any mods on console).

Also I heard that some mod thieves ask for donations or for people to support them on places like Patreon (so another motive is to make money out of other people's work, you know like people who actually steal material things in the real world just to sell those things and make a quick buck).

 

Damn I got distracted and forgot this was Beantown Interiors thread... Well I do have a few questions for Chuck though :

Will you be making more explosives for the Mad Bomber?

Will you be making more custom furniture?

Do you think it would be possible and somehow still in the scope of this project to be able to make a new settlement place in the Commonwealth (I mean a new place where the player can make a settlement)?
