The item loss was more

The item loss was more generous than I expected, I got to keep my keys, caps, weapon mods, bobby pins and scrap metal, basically everything in the misc. item category.

Also I got to keep my quest items. That Deathclaw Control Scrambler sure is gonna come in handy...

Does this work on version 2.6

Does this work on version 2.6.3a?  I just recently got in to TTW and I'm still stomping around DC.  I haven't made it to Mojave Wasteland yet and this sounds like it would make that trip all the more fun.

I just tested this with a clean instal of TTW 2.6 and everything seems to be working fine.

EDIT: also I uploaded new copies of the 2.4 and up versions that fix a few (very minor) bugs in the script.

Can you make it where the surgeon menu is opened when you arrive in new Vegas? The one the is used for OWB? I just don't think that 9 years on the road leaves you looking like the 19 year old vault dweller you once were. Plus, it makes what Doc says more reasonable, after all, you did just get facial surgery.

Finally got to play with this and all I can say is "wow" it's great.  I did use the "wimpy" version, but even prospecting quite a bit of the CW, I only hit about 150~ ish Pre war money by level 20 when i decided to head to NV.

The naming lack of chems, ammo, food, right from start changed how I approached that early game a lot.

Also added to the realism/plausibility of the Lone Wanderer being jumped with their guard down by Benny and Co.

I'm going to give that one a spot in the load order from here on out. Nice work.

One question. This mod does not have the Courier's Stash as masters files. Do the unique items from that DLC get recognized by the filter, or trashed?

They should get trashed.  The way the script works is that it removed all items of a certain item type, except for what is on a couple of formlists I created to exclude unique weapons.  Since the stash pack items aren't included on those formlists (because they aren't masters) they should be removed.

But, as with all my mods, absolutely no guarantees!  A couple posts up from this people were complaining about the script not removing enough items.  I agree, it still probably needs some work.

The script works by removing

The script works by removing EVERYTHING, except uniques on a list.  So imagine it clearing out your inventory and then putting back a few items.

At least, that is how it is supposed to work.  In practice, you will see a massively reduced inventory but it won't be completely empty.  The script is what it is.

I haven't tested this mod with 2.8 yet.  It's probably fine, but you never know.

Not to be mean but you cant be serious. You get pre war money in the way you expect. From cash registers,on Feral Ghouls,from Merchants. If you explore everything on the DC side,you should have enough for one ticket.

Nope, it's still there TJ, one just needs to find it. Also, there are quite a few suitcases in the station with Pre-war money in them, so that's a good starting "nest egg" of Pre-war money.

Yeah you can't run out of pre war money because it's on the lists for random loot. Why would a pre-war ticket machine take bottlecaps lollll... Glad to hear it's still working with new versions of ttw. If anyone has ideas for this mod and wants to use or modify it and republish the mod, that's fine just give me a credit and a link back to this page.

Okay.For whatever reason,this mod is breaking the train to New Vegas. As in,flipping the switch inside the train does nothing instead of giving you a message about going to New Vegas. I've tested this by unchecking and rechecking all my mods to see what was causing it and this was it.

I said specifically in there that it would break any mod that uses the TTWFunctions quest stages, especially Wasteland Travel stuff.

I don't use it, and I can't test it, and it's therms mod, so yeah.

To the author, would you be opposed to be creating a patch between this mod and the New Vegas mod "The Courier's Cache"? The entire point of the mod, if you are unfamiliar, is that you had some stuff in a hiding place in Primm, but some people stole everything they couldn't break into. The quest involves getting what they stole back. I could move the container you made to the hiding place in Primm. The assumption being that they couldn't break into that container.

I would like to try this one out, but after reading the descriptions and many suggestions, I agree with many on where the stuff should be picked up.

Pros:

Starting in Nevada would bring back to hardship of being in Fallout New Vegas without TTW.

This would help loose weight and use the Express Mailbox in Primm. Also you can wait to retreive your stuff until after getting house to store or getting back the Mobile Truck.

Cons:

Flashlight in Doc's house is owned :(

So are the pre-war books (which in Fallout NV was unless, now are a caps mine in DC.)

Second Locker will most likely crash or corrupt your save file. (Mostly the case when using Consele commands than saving.)

Getting through to Nevada is actually more hard, since Super Mutant brute have armor plating and shoot missle or flame at the door. No need to raise the level on Ghouls.

Although I like the Pre-money for Caps, this means, 95x2 not just 95$ or 1000$ for two trips and more if you wish to go back to and forth, since I like the reason you can play this game is go to Nevada and then return to DC and then go back to Nevada and then end the game in DC. (Since I don't play the main game until Broken Steel and then go Nevada.)

200$ or 1000$ can add up per trip.

I believe the stuff you brought should be lost, even the pipboy 3000, this way if you want to install pipboy 2500 it would makes sense to story, I believe the stuff should be in bag in Boulder City Ruins, why? Jesse was great Khan with Benny.


Other than that, Great Mod.

Edit: Forgot to say train works with vanilla TTW, but with this mod added the switch does nothing. Also, I'm not using the long load time fix...or the fix for that fix..

Edit: Well I guess there isn't a problem with this mod anymore. Somehow I managed to get FOMM to uninstall and delete most of my mods. So, I know what I'll be doing for the next few weeks :(

 

Edit 2:Actually it deleted TTW and Fallout 3....so no idea if I can ever play again with mods...
