Wet Shaders?

It is a little thing but anyone playing a game like Dying Light knows how much of difference having wet shaders on objects during rain makes the game world so much better looking.  They even made a mod for Skyrim that added bouncing rain drops on the ground.

I thought I saw puddles in trailer when it showed a character walking down a street in one of the settlements.  But I don't know if they were static or dynamically added.  Did anyone notice any evidence other than that of wet shaders?

A 'wet shader' can be made

A 'wet shader' can be made through using environment masking, or cubemaps which Fallout: New Vegas does support as well as Skyrim. The creation engine also provides for distortion effects through normal textures which can be used to simulate refraction.

So yeah, it can be done but who knows at what cost to performance.

What do you mean by static vs. dynamic?

I think it means static (is

I think it means static (is already placed on the world) and dynamic (appeared because it rained in the game and the puddle formed).

Well, I don't notice any

Well, I don't notice any performance drop in Dying Light or STALKER when it rains in those games so the impact can't be that large.  Even if it was a few frames a second its certainly worth it.  I hope they included them as it now just looks weird playing a game with no wet effects when its raining.

Regarding the dynamic versus static that was indeed what I mean.  A comparison is the dynamic snow that shows up after it snows in Skyrim, although I can't remember if that is vanilla or mod added.

Found a video of it on youtube.  I almost forgot the shelter aspect as well.  I hope they remember to add that this time around.
