Unlimited Companions for TTW

What it does


This mod edits the dialogue topics and makes it so that you can have an unlimited number of companions, including all vanilla Fallout 3 companions and Fallout New Vegas companions.

This also removes the karma requirements for the Fallout 3 companions.  It doesn't change any other requirements, such as the FNV or FO3 decisions that allow you to get the companions in the first place.

I haven't tested them all yet (but I did have every single one of the Fallout 3 companions at one point), and it seems to work.  Note that for TTW 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2 you may need this patch to hire Clover, and put it further down in your load order so it loads after the unlimited companions/no karma patch.  Please report any problems if you encounter them.

It is based on Jax's patch for TTW that comes with TTW, and the New Vegas Unlimited Companions mod by Oleg Lokhvitsky.

 


Installation


Just copy it to your /Data/ folder and activate the .esp file.  Load order shouldn't matter.

If you have Jax's patch installed already (the one that comes with TTW) just overwrite it with this .esp file.

You may also want my "All Companions Essential" mod so they don't die on you.  Or not.

I cannot get this little mod to work. I currently have Dogmeat and am now in the Mojave in Primm trying to get ED-E. He continues to say that there is a conflict with Dogmeat and that I can only have one follower. 

My load order is the basic TTW load order plus Project Nevada and Nevada Skies. Then it's the Citadel hotfix and then the above companion mod. Just the simple basics.

I have also tried dismissing Dogmeat and then getting him after ED-E but he has the same problem with ED-E. Another attempt was having no companions and saving and quitting. Then activating the ESP file and going from there. I have tried adjusting the load order even though it says it shouldn't be a problem and still no dice. Any help would be appreciated! These two companions are my favorite. Thanks!

Windows 7, 16 gigs DDR3, Intel 4th Gen i5.

Nexus Mod Manager v0.51.0

**EDIT** -Using Latest TTW update 2.6.3a

Fallout GOTY edition plus Fallout New Vegas normal edition with later downloaded DLC through steam.

TTW works perfectly for me with no problems and I have put about a solid week's time into it. After doing everything in FO3 I went to NV.

I'm kinda new here and would like to start contributing to the amazing work done here. If I'm missing something then let me know! Thanks again.

Will this play well with JIP Companions Command and Control ?

While CCC does allow FO3 HUMAN characters to be unlimited i can't have RL-3 and Dogmeat in my team at the same time. can CCC and this mod work together to allow for this?

I'm pretty sure it's because you cant have both. You can either have a robot like ED-E or RL3 or have a Dog like Dogmeat and Rex. The unlimited part of the Mod applies to the human companions only.

Hey there, sorry for being a noob, but how would one install a single file mod like this using FOMM?

I have modded several games before in the past but I am new to Fallout modding so would not want to cause compatibility problems by just dumping the file in the data directory!

There's a lot of tutorials on how to make a fomod from a folder, it's pretty easy really. Just extract the file to a folder on your desktop and go to the package manage and select Create From Folder, navigate to that folder you extracted and off you go. If it has nested folders, you want the top level folder which contains the esp/esm and/or other folders like meshes, textures etc in it. Thing which have a Data folder for NMM (lame) you need to select that folder as the top level folder.

Does this work with TTW 2.9? At least it's not in it yet because I couldnt have more than 2 followers (incl. ED-E)

JIP companion control on nexus works. I've had full teams great Jack, clover ace( from more perks), dog meat, charon, butch, cross, arcade,  veronica, rex, death claw, and yao guai.
