TTW Power Armor Revamped

This is an adaptation of romulus2009's mod, power armor revamped, extended to work with DC armors, in addition, I have removed the inventory changes made by the original mod, as I feel it is not necessary, due to the presence of readily available power armor in DC.

I tried my best to balance the armors according to lore, but I am open to suggestions on how I can make it more balanced.

since V2, many, many things were changed, and may now be considered its own mod

I have permission from the original mod author to post the patched version

 

you do not need the original mod, the attached file includes everything you need, simply drag and drop

you only need one version, the powerarmorrevamped-ttw-pn esp does not need powerarmorrevamped-ttw.esp

 

changes:

10.23.14

-can now be considered 1.0 (hopefully/probably)

4.10.15

-incorporated tiered AR, nerfed DT

--enclave armor has superior reactive armor, but lacking material durability

--US armor has superior armor resistance, but inferior plating

--MK1 armor redesigned to be a survival suit, it's lower armor values are offset by increased survivability

-rebalanced armor perks

 

removed previous unimportant changelogs

There seems to be a mix-up

There seems to be a mix-up between advanced power armor and advanced power armor Mk II. The Mk II version has 1 less DT and less radiation resistance (with the exception of the helm, which has 4 more DT but still less rad resistance).

The MK II was more combat

The MK II was more combat oriented, versus the MK I, so it traded environmental resistance for ballistic protection, I will make the changes to the MK II to suit this, must have slipped though

oops, I merge these mods from my own load order, and I forgot that these were modified meshes after fixing the glowing armor problem when using book of steel, I'll just fix that...

I'm in the middle of completing anchorage, but after using your re-uploaded one the T51-b armor is also doing the same thing as what the Outcast armor was...I have not had a chance to test the Outcast since though

a thought in regards to balance. this is a big heavy metal suit. so maybe a penalty to sneak for the armor and wearing a helmet that entirely covers your face could be impersonal so a penalty to charisma.

Noticed That esp doesn't affect Sierra PA. Many people don't nuke L15 outpost but some people would want Sierra PA so can you fix this issue? Besides, still Gannon tesla/Remnants tesla are quite fragile (same item HP 400), IMO they should have at least 1000 item HP

Wow, changing T57 to light power armor? Brilliant! And VaultTec PA's decreased weight pretty makes sense too^^ since it looks like it is made of lightweight materials. Helmets can increase PE/IN respectively

reasoning is that I think t57c would be used as a sort of enhanced vision and reflexes suit, therefor, weight, perception,and reaction time were prioritized (greatly enhanced perception and agility), while actual armor and load bearing capacities were not, this also would mean it has minimal rad resistance, and no strength bonus.

 

for the VaultTec PA, it could be used as a first excursion armor, while also being used as enforcer armor should a vault revolt occur, for this reason, emphasis on impact survivabilty and melee enhancements were prioritized (increased rad resistance and endurance), as well as the ability to bypass and control vault systems from inside the suit, thus the INT increase, however, ti is still using the heavy metal composite of the T45-D, just in a smaller profile, and attempts to reduce the weight on the user has resulted in slower servos (decreased agility) and reduced damage threshold.

 

I was also toying with messing around with the unique armors to better reflect their design, age, and any special user tweaks

Hey mate, I can't use this with Powered Power Armor for whatever reason, but I prefer your changes for values (DT, DR, etc...) and so I was just wondering if you could put in a spoiler, or just send me, the changed values that are in this mod so I can apply them myself in FNVedit. Hello there; I'm sorry I'm

Hello there; I'm sorry I'm not making a proper post of presentation or anything; I'm leaving soon for a holiday week with no internet and I've got little time. So I'll use this post also to say hello and thank you to all the TTW team and all other users that help converting mods or offering support. I'm right now using TTW and it improved a lot my fallout experience; so again, thank you everybody.

 

About the matter; I'm also experiencing the red exclamation missing textures. At least for the Outcast armor (haven't got to see other power armors yet in this save). I've narrowed this mod since if I uncheck it I've got no problems, but at the moment I check it the red exclamation comes back. The rest of the mod seems to be working, the values of DT and the other stuff seems to be as it should be with the mod.

 

What I've tried: Well, I'm really noob at FNVEdit, and all that stuff. So I've just been shooting the air. First I played with load order, putting the mod the whole down my list. Later, keeping it down I disabled all other mods that could alter armors, like project nevada and those. (I must say I'm using the esp with no PN since I don't use PN equipment). Since none of those worked I jumped to FNVEdit. First I backuped the plugin (though I could just simply download it back, but it doesn't hurt at all making backups). Then, seeingn it in the FNVEdit, the first I noticed was that the outcast armor had the same model reference than the TTW, but a diferent one than the TTW - Fixes. So I thought "here's the problem!". I tryed to copy the model the TTW - Fixes pointed and rename it to the one powerarmor was searching for because TTW - Fixes with no powerarmor-ttw worked fine, and I thought that would be easier and les dangerous than manual editing the mod. It didn't work. Then I tryed to manually edit the armor file for it to resemble exacly the TTW - Fixes one except for the DT values, etc. But it didn't work either. Out of ideas I tryed cleaning the mod for conflicts inherited by parents and deleted references. It didn't work. Should I check this mod in the load order I've got the red exclamation so for now I'm playing without it, though I'd really want to use it.

 

I'm writting this so that you can know that the bug persist, and told the whole history about what I've done, just for if it is helpfull to anyone, but I don't really know if the fix attempts I've tried have any sense at all; as I said, I'm pretty noob with advanced modding stuff.

 

Thank you for your time, If you want me to try something please tell me, even if it is difficult to do, if you explain me how, I'll try it.

Hey Pavel, I've been talking with Bwones over at the Nexus to try to get this working with his Power Armor Scaling mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59705). Essentially only one of the other will work, and I can't figure out the issue in FNVEdit. Was wondering if you could weigh in on this?

I just want my PA to be huge AND tough :P

Thanks :) The PA Scaling was working great till I installed powerarmorrevamped-ttw-pn.esp, which just killed the scaling. He released a compatible version for standard PA Revamped, but same issue. It's weird because really his mod shouldn't affect specific armor stats in theory?

So I made some changes to the PN version of the mod for Ashur and Tribal power armor and decided to upload it here. If the author don't feel good about it, I'll remove it

Ashur's Power Armor

Vanilla bonus, plus:

DT: 42

DR: 8

Weight: 63

Rad Resist buffed to 60 like normal T-45D

Added +100 carry weight like normal T-45D (in fact you'll carry less 25 lbs than normal T45D since it only gives you 1 str bonus)

 

Tribal Power Armor

Vanilla bonus, plus:

DT: 42

DR: 8

Weight: 63

Added Rad Resist: 40 (20 less than normal T45D, well, it's a makeshift armor but still power armor)

Added +100 carry weight like normal T-45D (in fact you'll carry less 25 lbs than normal T45D since it only gives you 1 str bonus)

A busted one is in the closet

A busted one is in the closet next to the meeting room in the Citadel. A working one is at the Wheaton Armory. It's behind an Advanced Locked Door, I believe. It's the one I go for early on, then run to Oasis to get the armor for it.

I Still have the texture/mesh

I Still have the texture/mesh issues with the outcast and winterized T-51b power armor despite having downloaded the DX armor re-textures. when i have the re-texture mod put in the load order before the power armor revamp i get the textures working but the revamp stat changes dont take effect and when i put the revamp first the textures turn into error messages. i tried combining the .esps and merge patching, neither worked. i also tried to replace the error messaged model with the DX armor model but i don't know how to accomplish that. help would be appreciated.
