Officer Gomez auto dialogue

When we are escaping Vault 101 at the start, Officer Gomez is supposed to automatically start a dialogue with the player as soon as he sees him. In TTW this doesn't happen and the player has to initiate a dialogue with Officer Gomez instead.

Isn't that a fallout 3 bug

Isn't that a fallout 3 bug and not specific to TTW?  I've had that happen playing vanilla fallout 3 if memory serves me right.  Also I just started a brand new TTW game a week ago and Officer Gomez did automatically start dialogue with me.

I dont think that's even a bug.It might of been on purpose to give player's the choice.If it is a bug,then it's Fallout 3 specific.

It is not a Fallout 3 bug, I had just played through Fallout 3 before I went to TTW to check if it happened in TTW .

In Fallout 3 as soon as Officer Gomez sees the PC, it automatically starts a dialogue and the camera zooms in to him and he starts talking about how lucky it was him who saw us and not someone else.

In TTW he does not start that dialogue automatically and the player has to start it him/herself. It is a bug in TTW and we squash bugs!

And remember I am testing 3.0, not 2.9.4b, one of the reasons 3.0 is taking so long to release is because stuff that worked on previous versions are not working on 3.0.

I have also experienced this

I have also experienced this in past play throughs, but I just started a new game today twice and Officer Gomez is auto-greeting without any issues.

 

The difference being that Officer Gomez these last two times comes right around the corner the moment I walk up the stairs and in previous play-throughs he was busy helping kill radroaches or was walking the hall further up.

TTW so far has been more stable than vanilla games at times. Hopefully, this will not change?
