Monster Diversion Mod for TTW

 

Since I heard the news that Gribble may work on cyberware implant, I got back to the project sometime I started before, which aims to give a diversity to monsters in TTW. It is set to be lore friendly, dynamic based on class, separating DC and New Vegas breeds as much as possible.

The current is focused on Super Mutants. Mainly it's about adopting CaBal's high resolution texture and gives DC mutties different outfits; supposed to be more urban touch. I've completed 10+ models so far, mixing tumbajumba's work mostly, based on tier levels and classes. Here are some result pics.

Currently done for Tier 1 Gunner(+4), Tier 2 Gunner(3) and Melee(2), Universal Heavy Gunner(2) and Missile Luncher(1), Vault 87 mutty(1) for Uncle Leo and Fawkes; and abominations included. Just felt not right seeing this section abandoned, so will update regularly when I get some interesting outcome.

Thanks! Models and textures are all made by others; I just scrap them all in nifskope. ;)

Just I've implemented nightkin to DC with special force treatment. I guess it fits the lore since they were the elite troop of Master's mutant army. Basically they randomly spawn with others, but will do replacement of normal mutants in some specific areas; such as Roosevelt Academy basement.

Oh, but they are Fo3 mutants.  New Vegas doesn't need variety addition I think. It has much few chance to encounter super mutants and already has their many unique creatures such as gecko. The main target of this mod would be Fo3 variation: primarily feral ghouls, super mutants, ants, yaoguai, dogs so on. Btw, This is my former youtube video presents some ghoul models included in this mod. Two new feral ghouls 'Freak' and 'Ripper' added to their classes. Freaks are much bigger and fearsome in their scales (shown in the video); similar to rumbler in MMM but relatively faster thus dangerous. Rippers are two headed ghouls a bit stronger than roamers. 

(And thanks for the French lesson. It might be some kind of 'freaking awesome''? )

Hyenas added. They have custom skeleton scaled different and have no tails, made by Uncle shub. They deal much higher damage and little bit tougher than vicious dogs, use separate spawn so won't be pack in togather. Usually they will be found in a pack vary to 3 to 4 in their number. Capital DC exclusive, kinda mirror to Coyote. (Also vicious dogs get new variation of double-headed called 'Mutated Dog') 

And Nightkin fully deployed to DC. Due to their special force treatment, they has only one class called Nightkin Commando using Chinese assault rifle and have no melee variation.

Very, very nice :D. Can't wait to see your mod completed :). The last picture is gorgeous, by the way. Will  the Nightkin commando be wandering around only in DC ruins?. May I suggest a Nightkin version for Vault 87?. I mean, perhaps one of them reached Vault 87.

They are included in Tier 3

New creature(also made by Uncle shub) 'Hairy Mole Rat' added. It is oversized mole rat works as a mini yao guai in early games. Not decided yet but Albino Mole Rat has chance to be adopted.

@ Nightkins are included in Tier 2,3 super mutant list so can be everywhere with reasonable chance. I also placed them on certain locations such as Germantown Police HQ and Roosevelt Academy. That Vault 87 sounds pretty good btw. Not just Fawkes, but all mutants in the place wearing vaultsuit and roaming F.E.V failed subjects must be fitting. And then, Nightkin as supervisors. You'll see.

Perhaps you can find more pieces for the awesome creations you're including in this mod.   I have a question: Can you modify stuff in Blender?. @StarletHologram: Thanks! Many of them are already I've been using and tweak, but some had been completely out of my notice. NV behemoths are especially great since current mutant texture doesn't fit with vanilla skin behemoth . Other apparently seems valuable are Mole-guai(will be Dire Mole Rat), FEV-Horror. Regarding Blending, nope I can only do nifskoping.

I understand. Anyway, here's the thing: Not sure if you have Monster Mod. I love the spiders and would like to create an hybrid with the Radscorpion. I wonder if a mutated Radscorpion/Spider Hybrid could have the body of the spider without the front legs (it would only have 6) to make space for the pincers of the Radscorpion. In the abdomen she would have the sting. It could use the texture of the spider or the Radscorpion in all the body (with the new members integrated) Do you think it could be done with Nifskope?. Could it work?. I remember that in Supermutant Upgrades - Bulk pack mod one of the creatures is a Monocycle Supermutant (Securitron wheel+supermutant); the idea is Fantastic and very creepy, but I put one of them in the game with GECK and the wheel doesn't roll. It moves forward, but it seems like a statue that is levitating. Don't know if it's only my case, or what, but it was very weird. What do you think? . On the other hand, yes, NV Behemonts look great, especially the Nightkin ones.

How about this? It is Ant Spider that scaled version of ant skeleton made by Uncle shub(they also emit web if I'm correct). I played Monster Mod sometimes but this one fits more to your concept I suppose. Monocycle Supermutant is... umm... that sounds more like WJS's wacky wasteland!  I try to keep vanilla expectation much as possible, so even I was too tempted to add the warmachine thingy(two legged Sentrybot) I had to step back. This goes same to the others. 

Oh and, although I answered to someone by PM that this mod would come out this week, but due to TTW 2.0a has been announced, I'll have to wait. Which means, break time! Ha-ha-

I checked that ant spider mod and looks pretty good. Yep, that's more less what I want to do with the spider and the radscorpion. I wasn't actually suggesting to include the Supermutan Monocycle, I just mentioned it as an example of a creature that may look cool but doesn't have the full movement (what I was afraid of will happen If a radscorpion and a spider are assembled together). I just wanna know if in your experience in Nifskoping a creature like that can be done (radscorpion+spider) or it will require the use of blender. I've used Nifskope many times, but not every model parts are divided, I mean, an outif for instance: if I open a vanilla mesh of a supermutant it's more likely I won't be able to use copy branch command just on a leather belt because it's merged with the full supermutant with a sort of net; it's more likely that meshes from other mods will have all pieces divided, perhaps because they were done/modified with blender. Do you have any tips for this?.

Believe me: without formality, my nifskoping is not better than you. I just copy and paste parts from the others, relocate positions and tweak some of their nodes. Sadly that's all I can do. There was sometime I tried to learn more in-depth creating, but then I got several arrows on my knee.

Guess what?. I made the hybrid radscorpion+spider in Blender, Yay!!!!!!!. I'll have to test it, but at least it's done, and just the way I want it. It would need retexturing, I hope it could work better than the Monocycle supermutant

Giant Antspider (adult)

Both creatures made by Uncle Shub, adopted. There is another variant Antwasp but not sure going to add it(the scale is way too big for holes). New classes will be Giant Shellant Soldier, Giant Shellant Worker, Giant Antspider, Giant Antspider creep. Antspider creeps are being deployed manually on certain locations, meant to swarm the player.

(Oh, and just installed new enb. It looks really nice. I'm eager to play it with upcoming TTW 2.0! )

Just met Uncle Leo in TTW for the first time. The model is basically Neil in new vegas which Cabal made fabulous retexture of him. I gave it Vault 87 suit and using it as Fawkes and Uncle Leo replacement. Probably I will do retexture a bit to make them look differed from each others.      

Oh, and using this for more civilized look perhaps!

Makes sense actually, have Fawkes and Uncle Leo looking more like the Mariposa SMs, they're meant to be a bit of a 'mutation' when considering the usual results of the vault 87 FEV.

Plus the V87 research was based on Mariposa's; makes sense that the vault 87 team would have been using Mariposa's as a starting point, thus allowing the occasional creationg of the 'old' style of SM.

I'd have to agree on using the model without the lip straps though, even if only just for those 2 guys.

Awesome work mate, would +1 if we could on here :p

Ahh thanks for compliments and background lesson. I focus mostly on model-wise but try not to exceed original game touch as much as possible(only in this mod, to sure! :p).

Anyway, Just tested CIB's Behemoths which Holy informed. They are noticeably low resolution in closer look but fits perfect with Cabal's retexture. Now there's only one left for mutants to be done: Overlord. Because Cabal' work was based only on NV, although I like the model, I'll have to find replacement due to its vanilla skin. It would be delayed I guess since Bioshock Infinite hits me pretty hard.

You will see. The one is Evolved Centaur adopted from new vegas and the other is FEV Horror. I am also deploying them manually, so you will literally see more of them.
