Most likely a conflict.

Having the same loop with the Damage limbs quest and the other two from Chapter 2, but am beyond this into chapter 3. 

I am running the 2.0 version and see prior post stating that this is not compatible with TTW as of yet and is pending.  

If Devil Bunny needs a Ham, so does the Glutton!

That's your problem then. Unless you converted 2.0 yourself,you should NOT be using it because it isnt compatible. Dont know why you would even use 2.0 as it is since you should know it need's to be converted first.

Yeah. That SOUNDS like the old TTW bug where if you had the Reputations Optional mod loaded she'd flip out on the radiation quest and make you immune to radiation or something to that effect.  I've never seen anyone have the problem because of this mod or in the latest version of TTW.  

Make sure your TTW is up to date and if it still happens post a load order and I'll see what's up.  May not matter for too long. Once Grigori gets the latest patches done I'll go ahead and get the new conversion posted for the Moira 2.0

Thanks for doing this conversion of this mod in the first place. Never could get a stable version of FO3 working on the PC and the PS3 version was constantly freezing. TTW fixes this for me and now I can explore these mods. 

I'll wait for the new file to be posted before continuing with the mod. Finished the Wasteland Book and hired Moira, but cannot proceed past this point until the new file is released as Moira is buggy. So I'll wait and tackle some AWOPFO3 dungeons until you release the update.

I can tell you the new version won't work with existing save games.  You'll have to start over to get the 2.0 version to go.

As a companion, Moira won't

As a companion, Moira won't use any weapons that I give her and always uses her fists.   Any idea why?    Thanks for the conversion!

Too many form changes to reliably work. Variable storage can be an issue. Primary story quest drastically changed. Generally it functions too differently to work even close to reliably.

 

As for her using fists, I can't say as I've seen it but to guess I'd say she's either out of ammo, which I'm sure you checked, set to melee, or her weapon skills are too low. They can be raised via questing and conversation

Actually it's just been a confluence of circumstances that's kept me from it. Sickness, patches, OS issues, lack of free time.  Hopefully I'll have time to work on it this weekend.  I have to reconvert it and add the patch he released.  Most of the work is done from last time.  Just have to do it again.

Actually that's not what the previous poster is talking about.  Did you download the FO3 version of the mod as well?  It's required.  You have to install that like you would a normal mod then drop the ESM I made in over the top of it.

Did you even read Deadboy's  first post? It tells you what your supposed to do for the voice to work.

Yeah, I am aware the previous poster wasn't having this issue. I downloaded the original mod, and deleted the ESP and replaced it with the ESM, then changed the sound folder like I was told to.

Did you download the ESP version of the original and not the ESM version? This is something I caught while I was installing it, so just to make sure:

You changed the folder in /fx/ to "MoiraCompanion.esm" I assume. Did you change the folder in /Voice/ to "MoiraCompanion.esm" as well? That would be what's controlling the voiced lines. In the ESP version of the mod, this folder needs to be renamed as well.

this works with 2.9 but do not install the sweeping idles hotfix or it will get you stuck at the menu screen before starting your game/ i removed it and now its working again, not sure why

That's because your not supposed to use it. 2.0 wasnt converted yet and neither was the hotfix.

Yeah, I'm playing through my conversion and have gotten both of the new shops open and fully upgraded, megaton mostly upgraded, the universal revolver using all calibers of ammo from 5mm (all varieties) through 12.7mm (again all varieties) as well as 12 and 20ga shells. 

Not a single hiccup yet.  Just waiting for the next release to publish.

I really have been enjoying

I really have been enjoying this mod, thanks for converting it! I love mods that allow you to take an active part in improving the wasteland. However, I have been having a problem continuing the Craterside Enterprises storyline. I have 20 with Romance and Adventure Skill with Moria, and have adopted Penny, but after completing all of the requirements for Arefu and CC, the dialogue options don't show up. Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?

That's all only in the 2.0 version. I haven't released it yet because there are people saying they are having problems with it in FO3. I've not had any problems but I'm kind of just waiting for a patch or update that I believe is coming soonish.

Unless you're converting it yourself and know what you're doing... Yeah. 1.0 for now.  There's a good bit of conversion done to make it flow with ttw.   I've also talked to Grigori about adding some content where she reacts to the Moira-y stuff in NV like Helios One or Reppcon or vault 22 or whatever.

What do I need to edit

What do I need to edit roughly to convert 2.0 to TTW? I can use FNVEDit No problem.

Really want to start a new game but don't want to do it without this mod. Been waiting since the end of April to start a new game. 

Hopefully my rough conversion will be able to tide me over till you release your one when Grigori updates.

There's scripting stuff that's gonna take you out of Edit for sure. I've put a lot of work in and I'm still finding stuff. that needs done.  Lots of little dialog scrip results and package tweaks and...  

I meant to be testing PPA this weekend but I found a bunch of tiny non-game breaking stuff that I need to get fixed in 2.0 before I get this conversion published.

I mean if you've actually been holding off on starting a new game for this long, I've got a version I've been playing on for a while (played all the way through marriage and the megaton expansion) and it's been working pretty well. I'm happy to give you the ESM. Even gave it to another cat to test and he says, "so far no major issues with craterside enterprises".

 

I just need you to know that if you're using it with a bunch of other mods and what not then I can't swear that I'll be able to promise 100% compatibility.  Right now the stuff I'm spotting is conflicts between it and some of the TTW optional packs.  Speech checks ESPECIALLY. Nothing game breaking but irritating shit.

Hit me up via PM if you want to run with it.  This isn't going to be a test thing where I'll track down bugs for you. On the other hand, if you're proficient with Edit as you say, if you find a bug or conflict with another mod and can give me useable info to help me fix it then I'm happy to jump on it.

That's because it's a bug. It was fixed in the 2.0 version Grigorprime did.

That's because it's a bug. It was fixed in the 2.0 version Grigorprime did.

Right, kinda figured the bug part out on my own. The 2.0 that has the fix we can't use with the current TTW conversion that Deadboy has posted in this thread. That is why I asked if OneSullenBrit had tried firing her and rehiring to fix the hiccup that sometimes happens when using the older version of Moira.

Has anyone experienced problems with hiring the two assistants?  I hired the assistants, but Moira still asks for assistants to run her shop.  How does the quest work?  I do not detect any conflicts in NVedit.

Did you download the correct version from nexus that has all the actual meshes and textures in it?  V1 not v2.

Are you using aMidianBorn's Book of Steel or the DX Powe Armor mod? I had issues with both mods, Moria's armor would look extremely bright at times, I just removed the mods and she looked great.

If that's the problem you can also go in and use nifskope or some other mesh editing software to remove the _g layer of the texture for the offending armor.  That of course does require a little knowledge though.

Ummmm. Stop loading the mod that's breaking it? As always, when reporting a problem I need a load order and details.

 

It's not a new mod so a new problem is usually on the user end.

 

That said, I guess I should go ahead and post the 2.0 version.  I've had it with 4 or 5 people and heard almost no complaints.

Also, this mods adds an essential flag to Lucas Simm which makes Mister Burke not trigger his dialog after the assassination.

Yes. The pod is a future feature but the pod functions are disabled. And edit doesn't like the Machete thing but it works in the GECK.

Hadn't noticed or heard any of my testers mention the Simms thing. I'll make a patch.

When running FNVEdits

When running FNVEdit's Undelete and Disable References, it finds 39 records. Are they meant to be there or is it safe to remove them?

I meant to try this out for Fallout 3 a while back, but the first thing I noticed was the idle bug, plus it was so dirty then that I reconsidered. This versions seems fine, though - well, except for those records then. Looking forward to check it out - Moira is my favorite NPC in the game by far.

I've had probably 6 or 7 people play it all the way through the marriage and somewhat through the megaton upgrades (I personally played through the expansion of megaton and Moira becoming mayor) with little to no problems.  I too had no problems with any of it.  The version I uploaded was cleaned with the idle problems and everything I could fix all fixed up.

The Lucas Simms thing, I always play good so Burke never gets to kill him.  I guess all my other playtesters did the same.

Yeah, when I was testing the 2.0 version it never occurred to me to approach Burke. If you do the evil blow up Megaton thing you can't do the Moira mod quests which makes the mod kinda pointless, so I never  bothered to talk to him. (It's hard to marry Moira at the Church of Atom and expand Megaton if the entire area was incinerated :P)

Everything else has worked fine though and I've run through the full marriage thing twice and part of the Megaton upgrade once.

A word of warning though, the BOS REALLY don't like Basil. They'll chase that little molerat every chance they get. So if he's following Moira you should probably tell her to send him back to Megaton when you are in areas the brotherhood occupies.
