Mechanist Helmet bad Ground Mesh

Problem with the world model meshes of the Anatagonizer and Mechanist helmet. If you drop them on the floor it will show a big red exclamation point.

Edit: Figured out half of my problem, it was original meshes of the two helmets that came from FO3 as loose files. This would take precedence over TTW's own fixed mesh for the antagonizer mesh stored in the BSA. However, the Mechanist helmet is still bad.

Indeed it is.  The Mechanist's helmet uses an improperly defined NIF file.  Fixed and attached below.

It is a bad idea to redirect the Mechanist helmet's world model to use the mesh that the player actually wears. If this is done, the helmet will appear as a floating helmet and the player is unable to pick it up. The only solution to a bad world model of the mechanist helmet would be to fix the world model's mesh itself.

I have fixed the mesh itself and have attached it to this message.

The mesh should be placed in the game's installation directory under the following pathway and make sure that the file is named "helmetmechanistgo.nif" (i know that firefox likes to sometimes rename files like this when it is downloaded):

"Data\meshes\armor\headgear\mechanist\helmetmechanistgo.nif"

Hopefully this mesh file is incorporated into the BSA files in the future so that the players don't need to fiddle around with loose files like this.

Jax: File removed, users should never upload game files.

It's an even worse idea to

I actually didn't know that using an equippable mesh caused that issue!  Thanks for the heads up.  I'm not at home at the moment, but when I get back I would love to know what you did to fix the mesh.  I'm not great with them, and a direct import of Fallout 3's mesh still shows up as broken.
