I should have blown up the Citadel

We could have been spared of fuhrer Maxson if only the Citadel was blown up...maybe that's why it was the only way to get that Dirty Harry hand cannon.  Alright, I'm playing through TTW again.  Infanticide here I come.  Anyway, I'm pretty sure the fact that he's alive indicates the canon choice of the Lone Wanderer.  Obviously he never leaves the Citadel, let alone during a mission with such massive deployment.  Plus he probably would have bragged about surviving that, either in the way they mentioned the alleged deathclaw scar, or as providence b/c he's a freaking megalomaniac.

I'm sure with a bunch of mod
I'm sure with a bunch of mod work, you could just change him into a zombie in 4

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

We can't even get them to produce a game in which our effect on the game matters for that one game; why would you possibly think they'd read our saves and adjust FO4 according to what we did in FO3, which is totally possible but apparently worth the effort.

Yeah, even Electronic Arts,

Yeah, even Electronic Arts, arguably the most evil gaming company on the planet, let you import your decisions across the three Dragon Age games, and across the three Mass Effect games.

There you have it: Bethsoft, worse than EA.

Although I agree with the first I don't think that one aspect could redeem EA, although Beth should take note

Yes but EA doesn't give much autonomy to it's studios

Let's be fair here: inter-game choices mattering was never a selling-point of Fallout even in the classic days. Fallout 2 stuff was all fine even if you joined the Master in Fallout 1.

Still, it doesn't excuse the rampant laziness incarnate that is Fallout 4.

lol

You're kidding, right? Your choices hardly matter in those games at all, it's almost as bad as it is in Fallout 4 especially in the later installments of those series.

The most maddening part of Fallout 4 is the choices you make in the game itself matter very little. Many times you are given 4 speech options and no matter which one you choose you get the same, or very similar, response from the NPC and your choice has absolutely no bearing on your interactions with that NPC in future situations. Hell your choice of dialog doesn't even matter later in the same conversation. You can insult someone and piss them off and they don't care.

Expecting Bethesda to be able to use data from a previous game to influence the world of their next is not something I would ever expect them to do let alone get right. I would however hope they could at least make the decisions you make within a single conversation have some weight on the story.

Edit: ok, that rant was a little off topic. I just get kind of riled up when discussing Bethesda.

What effect would New Vegas have had?  Vegas is a long way away from Boston.  I'd be surprised if they knew anything about each other.

True, I meant along the lines of game mechanics as opposed to story and decision  elements.
