HangCrash on Look at Point Lookout First Aid Kits (SOLVED)

I have the oddest crash that has come out of nowhere and is replicable with specific first aid kits, ie. the ones that hang on walls in Point Lookout.  Namely the one near where you and the Ghoul make your last stand at the top of the stairs, and the one inside the warehouse with the exploding cribs.

I've had a completely stable and 60fps no crash experience up until this point and though I can just ignore the first aid kit that specifically are there, I am curious and a perfectionist and want to know what's going on here.

My theories: Could be LootMenu but disabling that didn't help.  Could be Jsawyers putting in Expired Stims and messing with a script. I really don't know.  I have PN set on FWE preset which will mess with variables.  But overall i am stumped here because it is not EVERY first aid kit. it's the few ones on the wall specifically in Point Lookout.  But then I can reload, look at it from the console, then approach it and no big deal.  I'm thinking, again, LootMenu having trouble reading into the container quickly but i disabled it and it still happened.

What are some steps I can take to move forward? Thank you for your help.

Update: I loaded a save from

Update: I loaded a save from before going to Point Lookout and Restarted the DLC.  The previous med kits that were freezing were now completely good to go, and little things like the Panada Protectron were present when previously they weren't.  I then go about my day until I hang on a medkit that before did not freeze the game.

This is very odd and I simply don't know what's going on here.

well that error says it's in a plugin with index 8c (8c00513e), but your load order above doesn't go that far so... you didn't post your whole load order maybe?

8c would also be 140, which

8c would also be 140, which is too many plugins, which would explain why "weird" things happen. That's what happens with too many plugins - things get "weird".

Thanks for the responses. I have 124 total plugins at this time. Yet to have an issue, but I can merge more of my plugins together. Note: 3 of my plugins are Mator merges, including wotnmmerge.esp, GearAndTextures.esp and DragOverhaul.esp which in total have about 10 esps merged. Could the script be somehow reading these as seperate plugins still despite having a total count of only 124? Does Mator not work for TTW? So far its worked just fine and i dont have any scripted mods mashed, just textures from dragbody and weapons. Or, is 124 still simply too many, and should i start merging more? The TWW optionals alone add so damn many esps but i cant merge them without losing functionality it seems. What else could be happening? I dont have any inactive esps. Just 124 total ending with TTW RWL ending the LO as is customary and theres nothing hidden or inactive underneath.

I'm now merged to 104 mods. Let's see if the problem persists. 107 total plugins. No conflicts. No errors except for the typical LOOT warnings.  Script when opening console seems fine, nothing out of ordinary.  But it just crashed again on the same first aid box.

Reloaded from before I ever went to PL.  Ran through 5 boxes that crashed me before, got excited, then found number 6 and it crashed me.

Now I do not have a 8c plugin. I don't know what 0621 is. I don't know what script 88 is either. But i DO have a 5a plugin, which is Ojo Bueno Performance Pack which I know for a fact covers the first aid kits. So there is a connection there, but why only on one specific one? What could be happening here?

Uninstalled Ojo Bueno texture pack. Reinvalidated everything about 20 times. Remade the merge patch.  And believe it or not I was able to go to the first aid box and it not crash.  Then I died and i went to look at the box again and it crashed. What the heck?

It's possible the 88 and 8c

It's possible the 88 and 8c are random data due to running out of memory. Make sure you run the 4GB patch or you run out of memory long before reaching 120 mods. Also make sure you're using a larger heap set in NVSE. If your video card doesn't have a lot of vram, use ENB to offset that lack.

4gb is running. NVSE_config is set up with 420 and 128. NVSR is active. ENB is not active anymore as it killed my frames and reinstalling the d3d9 and trying the first aid kit still crashed my game.

In addition, I have always had the appropriate ini tweaks and recommendations from the ttw performance guide.

I have never quicksaved, autosaved or saved over a slot. every save has been a clean save on a seperate slot.

I have uninstalled one single mod midway which was "give enemies set ammo" mod but has been gone a long time and it hasn't been in effect in dozens of hours.  Other than that a very stable playthrough with, again, ZERO, crashes or hangs through Waters of Life, Operation Anchorage and The Pitt which is why this sudden total meltdown is a surprise and totally flabbergasts me.  I've done everything right yet this Point Lookout breakdown is totally make me scratch my head.

I will make a note that i did not update my JIP LN that just released a few days ago. I did install that but nothing has changed.  Point Lookout is still completely bonkers.

One last update before I go

One last update before I go to sleep:  I loaded from before going to Point Lookout and just ran through the most meanest stress tests I could imagine for the game. I fast traveled to all 4 corners and half a dozen high npc downtown areas, god moded myself, spawned dozens of guns from half a dozen different mods and, with the cases from IMPACT, just went totally ham trying to stress the game as much as possible blowing up 3-4 cars at a time with EVE mushroom clouds, killing a dozen super mutants at a time while Enclave birds landed above me and also being chased by Talon Company mercs who spawned on me multiple times during this.  Had I not had everything working as intended ini and plugin wise, the game surely would have crashed multiple times during the past hour of laying casings and triggering all sorts of script heavy events through the downtown areas.

Not a single hiccup, hang, burp or freeze, no issues with opening any containers or first aid kits at all.  No lagging in opening menus, or travelling, anything.

It's Point Lookout itself that may be broken on my end with its arbitrary random med box crashing, despite the installer saying it's cleared it may have simply installed totally wrong for all I know.  The point of this post was to reiterate my experience up to now: completely clean and smooth, 2 dlcs done no problems and with not even a single crash whatsoever.  That's why this issue is bugging me so badly.  The idea that everything can be smooth except this random aspect drives some aspect of my mind crazy, and I really hope someone has some more ideas.

I appreciate the feedback so far and hope to hear some more.

Probably a mod conflict then.

Probably a mod conflict then. I'd recommend disabling animation mods, first, as those can tend to be the biggest source of conflicts. So try disabling Solid Project to start.

Thanks for the tjp. I uninstalled Solid Project and clean saved from there. Still didnt work. But like i said zero issues otherwise outside of Point Lookout. Why would it be on such a random and arbitrary thing as some first aid boxes. Point Lookout also started to delete textures, i started slipping through the earth, my hair disappeared. Classic symptoms of too many plugins yet im down to 100 now with zero graphics packs anymore! Should i just go to Zeta, see if that works, then come back and see if it has sorted itself out? Thanks again for replying.

update for those interested:

update for those interested:

uninstalled all mods and loaded the ttw clean save with Steven.  COC'd to PL and had no issues with the boxes.

installed all mods and had them again.

Now here is the interesting part: i am going through 1 by 1 in a meticulous way to find out what the culprit is that it would affect even a clean, brand new save.  What's interesting is I may have "solved" it in a rudimentary way. Now, instead of crashing the game, it hangs for about 1 second and then opens.  The same 0000000 error in call script shows up in the console yet doesn't hang the game.

This was done by unchecking ttw_clean delux and, unfortunately, jsawyers.

so here's my hypothesis: using jsawyers expired stimpak script probably ran the very second that i looked at the first aid kit, and the script may have failed because of a number of reasons, number one being that it was never meant for ttw in the first place.  thoughts?

Okay admins and moderators of

Okay admins and moderators of TTW we can tag this as solved: JSawyer Ultimate Edition Expired Stimpak script was somehow not able to run well in Point Lookout.

Removing it entirely has completely eliminated the crash on first aid box crash I originally reported, and given that it does change items within medboxes, it makes sense in retrospect.

Now, having solved this , does anybody have insight as to why the call script would fail in Point Lookout and nowhere else?  What is different about the dlc that running the Expired Stimpak feature could chug the resources so much as to kill the game?

JSUE is incompatible with TTW

JSUE is incompatible with TTW, we have that in the FAQ and he has that in the mod description.

Understood. At this point i cant turn back, fully uninstalling Jsawyer is going to lead to having to scrap my whole save file due to the way xp and other things have been calculated until now, so im just turning off the expired stimpak feature and hoping for the best. Like I said its been an otherwise very stable playthrough.

For future reference JSUE isn't actually the JSawyer mod and isn't related to Josh Sawyer at all. There's a link in the FAQ to the actual JSawyer mod. Patches for the real JSawyer mod are floating around here and it works just fine.

That doesn't help you in your current play through but it might be something to consider in the future.

I actually thought, despite the patch, that the jsue 's mcm feature would make it more stable as i had every single feature turned off except the stimpak one. Thanks for the tip.
