For those having problems setting up DEF UI, Gopher made a Mod Clinic video on it.  You can find it by clicking the link below.  The video is in two parts; Part 1 = overview of the mod, Part 2 = Actual configuration.  Gopher provides a link to skip to Part 2.

Instead of the Autohotkey

Instead of the Autohotkey based mod, you can use Place Everywhere. It uses F4SE scripting to allow a lot of stuff in workshop mode.

Heres a good one and it's not

Heres a good one and it's not even by me.  Some Assembly Required This mod aims to make PA feel SPECIAL again in Fallout 4. It removes many of the PA spawns Edits a lot of the NPC's That get the good stuff when they shouldn't.

Here is a mod to make sure

If you have a problem with mods activating (which only sounds to be a current problem in MO 4 Beta), here is a mod to make sure your mods activate when using FO4 1.5.157.  I tested it after remarking out where to look for Fallout 4 and dropped it into my MO individual profiles folders.  And it worked like a charm.

Problem: Not being able to

Problem: Not being able to save except when sleeping in Survival Mode.
Solution: SURVIVAL QUICK SAVE - No Sleep Till Bedtime by Gopher
Note: Works perfectly. You can set the amount of saves in the ini as well.

Problem: Not getting Achievements when using mods.
Solution: Achievements by Expired6978
Note: Requires F4SE.

Problem: Not being able to use the console in Survival Mode.
Solution: Survival Mode Console by Zion9876
Note: Works perfectly.

Problem: Being annoyed by a feature in Survival Mode.
Solution: RuleBreaker - A Customizable Survival Experience by Maduin81

Also, regarding separating the grenade and bash hotkeys, I'm personally using FO4 Hotkeys by registrator2000, which works perfectly.

Checking the forum thread for the mod, it doesn't seem possible to separate the power armor exit key. At least, no one seems to have found a solution. :(

Weird that you can separate

Weird that you can separate grenade and bash pretty easily but nobody has figured out how to separate out the remove armor.... Oh well. Fortunately I don't wear PA all that much so guess I'll just have to live with the way it is right now....

Mod Organiser Beta 1 is out but buggy.  I would still use the previous release 2.0.4 with SMWMM until fixes are implemented.

Well if you want to add a mod

Well if you want to add a mod to really make FO4 chaotic and much more challenging then try this mod. It's called War Of The Commonwealth - Spawns by Engager. If you set things to the highest levels then you will be in pretty much a constant firefight almost as soon as you start. I'm currently using it on much lower settings and it's still a challenge. But at least I have time to do things other than to run and fight for my life everywhere I go.

I suppose it slams performance pretty hard, right?  I've been wanting to try that one but with my somewhat less than mediocre rig (my nVidia GT 630 has 4g memory but only 96 shader cores) I know it wouldn't do me any good.  I already bog down in the normal firefights.

Are asking about War of the Commonwealth - Spawns? Well I've never had any performance issues with this mod even when I did run it configured pretty high which was insane. But I have a pretty good rig compared to what are running. But you can lower the configuration quite a bit to soften the impact.

Complaint: The Critical

Complaint: The Critical Damage feature wasted if not using V.A.T.S.

Solution: OCD - Overhauled Critical Damage by Pr1meSh0ck

I've just started using it and it seems to be a neat solution and work as it should, so far at least. I never use V.A.T.S. in F4, so was a bit annoyed about not having critical damage at all.

I might try the spawn mod later on, but ATM I'm quite happy with some empty areas as the game is rather intense in Survival Mode. I like some features in it and really dislike some others (no saves except when sleeping is a big no-no for me, for example), but I think they got the combat pretty spot on actually.

  • Repairable Sanctuary - lets you fix up the bridge and houses using materials
  • Alternate start live another life - an impressive alternate start mod in development
  • Locky Bastard - lets you kick (power armor), shoot, and blow up locks instead of picking them
  • Smokeables - lets you animate and smoke all those cigars and cigarettes you find, with effects and addiction
  • Have a beer - animations for drinking all those bottles you find, beer water etc.

Ok I just completed this

Ok I just completed this quest mod called A Cannibal In Concord by T9X 69. It's very well done and you really need to search pretty hard to locate items that you need to make it thru to the ending. Some of the keys are pretty tricky to locate and you really need to read all notes for possible clues. So if you want to take a small break from the main game give this mod a shot. Side note... There are no conflicts with Chuck's Beantown Interiors Project.
