Hidden away in the fomod folder for NXMM people who can't help themselves. The install script picks which files to install based on whether TTW is installed or not. To install manually, copy the files from fomod\_TTW along with the BSAs.

I assume that base-mod-only is the case, but before I get around to updating from build 170, do I need to redownload the mesh packages as well, or just the base mod?

I just installed the latest version, along with TTW. I had few issues during a new game so I wanted to report them.

- First time I arrived at 1 year old. After exiting the pen I couldn't do anything and I was stuck, the SPECIAL book wasn't working. I noticed there was something strange because I could see me in 3rd person when pressing F (I was a CotW of about 10 years old). After pressing F again, I was bigger (up-scaled) and I had the impression I wasn't toddling anymore

- Restarted, chosed the raider child, custom a little, after closing the showracemenu it crashed.

- I thought it was a case, I restarted, did the same operations, it crashed again.

- I remembered about MD problem with custom hair + eyes, so I didn't change eyes. Still CTD.

- I kept vanilla caucasian adult, it didn't crash. I arrived at 1 years old, same as before, I could go in 3rd person and I couldn't use the SPECIAL. But this time I noticed why it wasn't working - it was saying a child can't use it. AgeRace 1 and I managed to use it, but I didn't continue and I quitted.

- Unticked CotW, now at 1 years old I can't see me in 3rd person and the special book works fine. I'm going to change my race after quitting the vault and I'm pretty sure I won't have issues, however I've read CotW should work during creation too, am I right?

It's my first time with TTW, still didn't play. Latest NVSE, latest Lutana. I arranged the LO like the one in the TTW installation. Extra mods I installed: PN, XRE cars, Interiors, with the TTW patches I found here. Then few clothes inherited by the previous NV installation. Then some ESPs of mine I'd love to keep flagged to test stability, but I can't think to anything that could influence CotW or races in general.

Sorry for the weird colors

Sorry for the weird colors and all, Firefox is telling me a script is blocking the page if I try to modify.

Quoting me: "It's my first time with TTW, still didn't play" - I was meaning I never installed it before, so I can't exclude of course there's a problem on my end even if the installer didn't report errors.

EDIT: now it allows me to modify the message. I tried to reactivate and showracemenu when I was 16 - the raider was bald and the emo made me ctd. I feel there's something involving hair. Would you have a tip on how I could change my race to CotW after all the initial part? then if I'll have to change race again for tranquillity lane etc. there's no problem.

FYI, the log gets wiped if you open the GECK through NVSE. That's what the "[Editor Mode]" indicates.

 

Looking at the DLL code, I forgot to update the NVSE 5.0 beta 3 hashes after it was finalized.  I'll get those updated and post an update. Thanks for the report!

Just for curiosity, I started a new game using Mojave Delight race, patched TTW. I can tell you that it allows to go in third person at 1 year old (as with CotW, while with a vanilla race it didn't happen), so maybe it's something that happens with all custom races, I don't know.

Does this require the original COTW NV mod installed to work?  I downloaded every file and installed them accordingly, and the option to be a child on a "new" game doesn't seem to appear at all.   I disabled every mod which could of remotely possibility conflicted with it "ie anything that effected character/custom races."  

I didn't see it as a requirement when reading the OP, So I just assumed this 2.0 was a standalone.  Just asking.  

 

Edit: fixed the problem. my NVSE wasn't a high enough version it seems.  Assuming.  Updated it and it works.. lol

 

Edit2: Seems I have a hair style conflict now.  I selected a child's hair when making the character, but on the birthday event it shows it trying to put an adult hair style on the character which well obviously doesn't fit the size of the had at child scale.  Odd.  I dunno why it switched to an adult hair style, when selecting it on creation it was not that hair style. I checked /showracemenu and now none of the hair styles work.  Even though they all worked when I was on the creation menu when making the character just a minute or so before. lol

Ending up with 6 Years Later (still says 6 Years), and everyone spawned with Adult clothing, my character has an adult male body when wearing a Vault Suit as a female child.  

 

Yep I broke it some how.  Hair style fixed itself on the next chapter, but still having clothing issues. Seems Male Adult Vault Armor/Vault suits, female Child Utility/Lab coats, etc etc.  Not used Children of the Wasteland in a millions years so this is weird.

I'm now using that Raider Orphan which was gave me problems, but everything is fine now as expected, hairstyle too. What I don't get is the fact my child wears adult clothes, doesn't swap models. I already tried with 5-6 vanillas. On load, it unequip /reequip, so I guess the script's firing, but I'm clueless on what to do to solve it. Except removing FPS Weapon Wheel if really I must do it.

- Tried the shop items... the bighorner was so funny, such a great idea! now it needs some cartoon sound like "pheeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwWWWWW *splat*"

- I couldn't find the steam punk hat, the ragamuffin. I remember I was using it on NV CotW, I bought it in the shop. Did you remove it?

- Inumimy puppy tail and ears seem lacking texture (they flicker)

No, you must completely remove the old CotW in order to use this one.

During CG02, a flag is set that forces the player to use the default hairstyle for their race. It cannot be changed while this flag is set, and your real hairstyle will appear when this flag is unset at the start of CG04. You're not supposed to look like the character you created until that point, and that's unchanged from vanilla FO3.

The 6 years later video is supposed to be replaced. If it's not, I'll look into it. The other vault kids using adult armor models during CG03 is a bug. I've already fixed it in my internal build.

There is no child female vault suit mesh, because no one has created a refit of the adult female vault suit. The existing vanilla child vault suit meshes cannot be used for this purpose because of texture sets. Arlekin refit almost every single armor in both games and their DLC for the male child body, so those meshes are used for both genders when a separate female child mesh does not exist. That's not an adult male mesh you're seeing.

Okay so the problems I was seeing was original a NVSE issue.  The 6 Years later then 3 Years Later videos did come up, but it could be something I did.  I've been looking into what I did myself so.  "hense" the edits and such.

I'll need to see the log output from when you equip something to determine why things aren't swapping. I doubt the weapon wheel is the source of all our troubles. :P

That's just something silly I did. I didn't feel like doing the usual Testing-Locker-in-Goodsprings when I rebuilt the ESM for one of the alpha builds.

The Ragamuffin hat is vanilla and flagged as non-playable. It's not in the cow because it's not a CUTE Shop item.

This is another moment where I get annoyed at the original developers for using a duplicate texture. I'll fix this with a texture set.

They probably would, but the mod has no headgear EGMs at all. FNV doesn't load them from loose files, and all of those meshes were distributed as loose files for years before I wrote the code to check BSA archives for file paths. It would take an ass-load of work to create EGM files for everything, and I'd still have to make manual adjustments to the meshes afterward. When you take into account that the genders use different head meshes, it's a nightmare I'm just not willing to deal with.

As a collective, modders are almost entirely focused on two things: female-only content, and pornography. All of the slutty female stuff is from the original CotW-FO3, which had almost zero outfits available for male characters. Some guys from the old (OLD) CoC forums decided to even the balance somewhat, some creating outfits for both genders and some creating male-only outfits as per their own interest or ability. When GalesOfEuros ported CotW to FNV, he included all of those community-created items as well as the outfits from CotW-FO3. As a result, there are a LOT of "shop" outfits that only work for one gender or the other. There are many available to both genders, such as the "Child ____ Outfit" items taken from this mod.

I didn't change the ARMO recrods for any of the shop items except for greatly reducing armor values and adding the Non-Playable flag (which is removed at runtime if you have the Clothes BSA). Feel free to override those armor records in any way that you wish.

Mods that depend on the FO3 version of CotW cannot be used, period. No, they cannot be converted with the Edit conversion script.

Playing as a child. Is it safe to use the "AgeRace" console command to make the character grow when going to New Vegas for the first time? Or can it have consequences because of the mod's scripts?

There are some conflicts between COTW and ILO and I don`t how to solve that.

For some reason i don`t see any of additional races. I`ve tried with and without MO, with NVR and without.

Reinstalled everything, used FOMM and still no additional races.  Are they supposed to be selected on birth or before Vault exit?

Load order - basic : TTW+COTW, new game, DC start.

Everything else works perfect. Thanks for great mod!

1. Buy New Vegas. If you pirated FO3 as well, buy it too.

2. Update CotW2 to the version in the OP. You're using an old build that I cannot troubleshoot.

Both games are legit. Checked that Fallout NV is fully updated, all files verified, twice.

Tested TTW Install with COTW without MO,but with FOMM and races shows up. With MO it shows v210 in log and it`s installed current version from OP. I guess that MO is skipping something during initialization.

Spent several hours troubleshooting MO, damn windows 10. I give up.

Sorry if i disturbed you, that wasn`t my intention.

About ILO - I`m usually making bashed patch so with ILO i get this (with checked cell options in bash)

Most of ILO options are activated , stable or TTW alpha .I`ll continue to test and see what makes this situation with Wrye.

That's a bug in Bash; 4579 is the correct function in those conditions. There's no reason to be using Bash for Fallout.

I did some tests with "other"

I did some tests with "other" version of the game to see if mod will work and completely forgot to send correct log.

If any proof is needed to confirm that games are from steam I`ll gladly do that.

Still no luck with MO. It constantly gives v210 and ignores to read optional files except armors.

Once again, i am deeply sorry for confusion I`ve made.

If you have any CotW2 files in your Data directory (including cotw_nvse.dll in the NVSE\plugins folder), delete them. Make sure that the files in the OP are the only ones in your CotW2 folder in MO, and delete anything in the overwrites folder.

 

Also, uninstall NVR3. It's compatible with nothing, least of all CotW.

There is nothing in Data

There is nothing in Data folder except original game files. In MO mod panel, it says version 213.0. Inside COTW folder are basic + all optional bsa files.

Overwrite folder is always clean, all nvse plugins are up to date and invalidation is working. NVR was there by accident.Most of my tests are done with TTW+COTW only in active load order. 

After dozens of hours of  forcing MO to read files I`m over-burnt.

P.S. Finally got races + additional content it to work! Copied MO Archive.txt from desired profile to FNV install dir. Disabled Allow MO to manage archives and MO file invalidation.

This is temporary but working solution and still gives version 210 but I am very happy!

Started a new game, before GOAT saved and quit and enabled MO invalidation and archive management and everything is ok. Dad is kid too for some reason.

Thank you for your time and keep up good work and I can play as raider, yay :)

Great news, Lutana! Thanks for your hard work! I hope you will tell us soon what new features/possible bug fixes you will add. 

As for me, I'm trying to convert to TTW Amy and Cat companions. I think I'm hopeless. However, I'll keep trying. I think I need to remove the old masters that this mod needs (Shojo Race.esm [FO3] and the old Enhaced Children.esm [FO3]) and put instead of them Shoujo Race.esm (for NV) and your Children of the Wasteland.esm.

Is that possible? Oh, gods, I think I'll make my TTW install explode [Forget about this. I've just read this post]

By the way, Combat armors and Reilly's look like this. Textures seems to be messed up. I used the FOMM archive invalidator options, installed and uninstalled NMCs textures pack for TTW, and the problem is still there.

Nope. However, I'm using both "New Vegas Type 3 Armors Only" and "Niv Spice of Life" with "Breezes Male Replacer Armors". Do you think that has anything to do with this issue? I'll post my load order, though I know most textures replacers (I'm using NCMs) doesn't have an esp/esm. 

 

I've added the .txt archive of my load order.

Those are exactly the kind of texture set bug reports I like to see! This patch should fix the NiTriShape order in the child female mesh to match the adult mesh.

Let me know if you spot any other incorrect texture set applications.

Now, combat armor works

Now, combat armor works perfectly. However, Reilly's (Combat Ranger Armor) does not. I don't understand why. The meshes seems to be ok as you can see in the picture, but the textures are what seem odd. I don't understand why. Doesn't Reilly's use the same model as Combat?

 

I have tons of armors and outfits in my Tempenny's house. I know I have some other ones that have this same problem. If you want, I could look at them one by one. If I have a problem with any of them, and that outfit works fine for you, that will mean that the problem is mine and not of your CoTW. I mean, if that helps you, of course.

That one is never going to look right on girls unless someone (not me) refits the adult female combat armor mesh. The UVs are too wildly different in the vanilla models.

No problem with Reilly's. In fact, my favorite armor is Combat (with its skin). 

I can't provide you with more texture mixmatches, since I've had a problem with my computer and I need to reinstall Windows 10. I don't know if I will be able to keep my TTW installation, but in case I can't, I'll need a few days to put it all together again.

Ok, I finally managed to

Ok, I finally managed to reinstall all mods and the game is running smoothly. When (or whether) I find a problem with some texture bugs, I'll post a screenshot.

By the way, I would like to add CUTE items to leveled lists, not for npcs to wear them, but to find them in some containers. I kind of imagine how to do it with GECK, but can I do it with NVEdit? And... I'll definitely thank any link to a tutorial you might provide. I only find Skyrim and FO4 examples.

There seems to be a bit of wonkyness with the Vault 101 Utility Jumpsuit. With a melee weapon drawn (Haven't tried other weapon types), the mesh detaches around the elbow, and the bicep area becomes quite deformed. Removed the Armors.BSA from my Data directory to test if the issue was persistent, but the adult mesh seems to function as it should.

 

Completely unrelated to above: I just want to thank you for all your work. CotW is easily my favorite mod, and I don't venture into the Wasteland without it.

Hello again, friends. I have found another -maybe- bug. This time it is the Brotherhood Scribe Robe, which appears like this in my game. Maybe my problem? I don't know. If you can't reproduce it in your game, I might have corrupted the file, somehow. 


By the way, Roy, drunken gnomes are hard as Hell to find! After 140 hours, I've just found those. :D

This is the only mods I have

This is the only mods I have active on this new Windows 7 install and a new install of NV and I have ran into a problem. (NV build only.)
I have all DLC, the latest COTW  and "rePOPULATED WASTELAND" loaded only and its the NPC's added by rePOPULATWED WATELAND that revert back to adults if the gun is unchecked in MCM.

The "Dematurator Gun" is great but it must remain ticked or they will revert back to adults and the gun stops Vats from working.

The "Dematurator Gun" works great on vanilla NPC though and once the gun is unchecked they stay as kids.

What you're describing is not possible; instead, I'm assuming that the extra NPCs from that mod are respawning.

 

The Dematurator is far from finished, and I make no guarantees regarding its use.
