Cell Reset

Ok I understand that this is a bug that FO4 has. Game engine issue correct? Is this a bug that also will be an issue with consoles? I don't know squat about this stuff thus the reason I'm asking. I'm thinking that hopefully it will be or is an issue with consoles because then maybe Beth will actually try to get it resolved. But if it's only an issue that PCs will have then what's the chance Beth will ever bother addressing it?

Well they fixed navmesh bug

Well they fixed navmesh bug in Skyrim that existed since Fallout 3 (and still not fixed by the way), so a good chance they will look at this too. The major problem is when they fix some bugs, they usually introduce new ones like lipsync bug in Skyrim that appeared in one of the patches and not fixed too up to this day.

lipsync bug is in Fallout 3

lipsync bug is in Fallout 3 also.

I bet the navmesh bug, egm/egt, packages on quest npcs not starting if the cell has never been loaded, are back too among others, need to start testing for these things as soon as possible.

The "falling from the sky" bug I've already seen too.

Has anyone else encountered

Has anyone else encountered the one where you enter or have a firefight in an area and immediately junk and clutter, even dead bodies take off and start flying around the room making all kinds of banging and crashing noises and screwing immersion and and killing any chance you have of hearing anything you actually need to hear?  I only saw it once or twice in the older games and then only in certain locations and only involving an object or two at a time but it's almost a regular thing in this one and liable to happen anywhere and involve just about anything & everything in the cell at the same time.  One of the worst areas for it is in the public library.  Beginning to think it Beth can't keep their clutter under control, maybe they shouldn't place so much of it.

Skyrim on the launch didn't

Skyrim on the launch didn't have lipsync bug, they reintroduced it several patches later. So it was fixed originally, but then Bethesda pulled "Bethesda"

Nofsdad: Whirlwind of doom as

Nofsdad: Whirlwind of doom as I call it, or junknado as others call it, is a havok bug. In Fallout 3/NV this is caused by either a bad mesh (Project Reality, Nevada Skies rain/snow meshes), or settings things outside the cell bounds (like -30000 of xEdit undelete (who's idea was this anyways). If you don't know what causes it, it can drive you mad.

I've been hoping for a patch for the "Cell Reset Bug" and the "Sprint Bug" If it's coming it surly will be around the time Console modding goes live"

Or maybe when "Point lookout" is released! Oh! Crap I mean "Point Harbor" or was it "Fear Lookout"? I can't seem to remember!

it's an issue with mods that

it's an issue with mods that edit settlement cells. it causes containers, PA and some weapons like the "laser Musket" you get in the first quest to revert back to there original state.

meaning when the game started so if you stash loot in a container, modify weapons or PA you loose it on cell reset!

zilav knows more about this then I do but is has to do with the fact that mods reorder vanilla Pre-combined meshes or something. Any non persistent ref's added or edited in a settlement cells will cause the issue.

it can also cause the player to not be able to sprint in some cells. This one is odd because it depends on where the game is loaded and the area changes as you continue to play.

Any mod with temporary CELL

Any mod with temporary CELL records causes those cells to reset. You don't even need to change anything in cells, just the presence of those records is enough to trigger the bug. Bethesda acknowledged it.

it happens when the cell

it happens when the cell resets. When the game resets the spawn of the cell, it will happen any time the game resets a cell. It repeats and repeats no matter what you do. The only safe storage is in crafted containers from what I understand.

All cells in FO4 are set to reset because there is no level cap. When they reset the bug will hit you! I think the reset is different for cells but I haven't looked into it.

Ahhah, so it was me editing

Ahhah, so it was me editing nav-mesh that caused it. I feel less stupid now. :)
