INTRODUCTION:
REQUIRES NVSE 2beta12 or later.
This mod adds a new Follower to the Fallout 3 world - Brisa Almodovar. Being Amata's cousin, and just a year older, she grew up with you and Amata in Vault 101. As events heat up for you and you are forced to leave Vault 101, you can choose to take her with you. The actions you take on the way out matter to her, though it's not difficult to meet her requirement. If for some reason she does not go with you, or you don't want anything to do with her to start off, you will get an opportunity to take her with you during MS16 (Trouble on the Home front), after resolving that quest.

You don't need to start a new game to have her as a companion. If you add the mod later, she will be in Springvale (level < 10) or the sniper shack.

If you are currently in the middle of 'Escape', Raven Rock, Tranquility lane, 'Trouble on the Home Front', 'Take it Back!', or ANY of the Fallout 3 DLC's, finish it before activating this mod.

This TTW edition turned out to be more than just a simple conversion :)
This is beta because I haven't gone everywhere yet in the TTW world. So there might be bugs, but I don't know of any.
New things for TTW:
1. Fully functional companion wheel (with sound) and with submenus for Aggro and weapon selection.
2. If you level her survival skill, you get a survival bonus when crafting at her campfire.
3. Optional Lings plugins for hair/color if you have Lings.esm (either the one here on TTW site or ModDB).

This beta package is the complete mod, with a fomod installer tested on NMM, FOMM, and MO. Later on I may post a mod page on FNV Nexus with just the ESM to keep the assets separate.

One thing that has changed from the FO3 version when meeting Brisa - If you already have a game in progress and are level < 10, she won't come looking for you - she will be in Springvale. Otherwise she will be at the sniper shack.

Places that Brisa can follow you in an immersive way:
1. Tranquility Lane
2. Vault87/Raven Rock capture
3. Point Lookout
4. The Pitt
5. Mothership Zeta
6. Operation Anchorage
7. Broken Steel
Just make sure she is following when you enter these places and the scripting will handle the rest.

The one thing that I hated

The one thing that I hated about merging FO3 for TTW was the loss of Brisa. You just made my day. Fantastic mod great companion and fits very well within the game. Great job and thank you for re-making her for TTW.

If life is but a test, where's the damn answer key?!?!?

Thanks for porting this over

Thanks for porting this over to TTW.  Im using 1.0.1 and there is the combat menu bug that keeps popping up when i talk to her which I have to constantly pick attack on sight, then the wheel comes up.  Also, sometimes during combat she can't fire her weapon.  I've been using her for quite a while now and only recently the weapon fire bug has been happening.  I tried using the reset weapon script and it works sometimes, but it still happens frequently.  Also, there were times where Brisa went bald which was quite funny, not sure what caused it. Other than that everything else works great.  What i did now was dismissed her and rehired her to see if that would help.  Anyways, if I find any other bugs ill post it here.   Thanks again.

Do you mean the combat menu where you press the 'talk' button? That should bring up the wheel. But after that I did notice that the submenu for aggression isn't working. The workaround would be to press talk on the wheel menu and talk to her in tactics.
I found one more spot where the combat style might not get set properly if she is not set to essential but she revives after combat and could cause her not being able to fire a weapon. There might be others. I am still play testing. Clearing the weapon scripts doesn't seem to work for that at the moment, but opening her weapon slot and closing it will reset it properly.

Oh yes sorry, its the set aggression mode menu that pops up randomly, but frequent when i talk to her.  When it pops up though the companion wheel is still there so there are no problems with the wheel.  Shes set to essential in my game, but hasn't been unconscious yet.  Anyways, thanks again and will post anything else I find.

V1.0.3 Beta fixes: Fixed - Took Big Guns out of her books to read formlist. added Wasteland Survival Guide.

Fixed - Survival use count increment and apply to SPECIAL advancement.

Added - Plugin that allows you to talk to a Wheeled follower when you are sitting, and stay sitting. Works for any companion.

Fixed - dialog with Brisa when sitting with/without the wheel.

Fixed - If she is 'sleeping till I wake you' and you talk to her through the wheel/Hot key, she will resume following rather than let her AI wander off to a random bed in a loaded cell.

Fixed - added eight more names for beds that her power nap script can recognize.

Fixed - Brisa's OA quest stops right as player sits in sim chair.

Changed - DLC02MontgomeryStarts package target is editor location, but Montgomery's editor location is up in the air a bit and player camera can end up in his head as he drops down and slides forward. Changed package target to DLC02SgtMontgomeryStart XMarkerHeading.

Test playthru Operation Anchorage ok after fix.

Test playthru Tranquility Lane ok

Nope, they are 2 separate inventories. I tested this by loading her down using the wheel inventory. I then opened the inventory using her speech option and that stuff was not there, and i could load her down with even more junk.

The wheel inventory does seem to be linked to the equipped inventory. The equipped items show up in both.

In her dialog:

In her dialog: "Let's see your equipment" is stuff she is wearing (opens RHKBrisaREF container)

"Open your backpack, please" is her backpack (opens RHKBrisaBackPackREF)

The wheel accesses the stuff she is wearing (opens RHKBrisaREF container)

If she is in combat, "Let's see your equipment" is not visible as a dialog option. This is left over from FO3 where accessing their inventory during combat can glitch it.

Woks well went in to vr with

Woks well went in to vr with her and she had just a knife. When we left she still had armour and a silenced 10mm pluss armour. While inside the vr i had a normal 10mm with a silencer to apli to it. Not sure if that why her weapon was not showing until we left. I have given her the AER 14 lazor rifle. i have to take it of her and give it back for her to want to load it. or she points it and dose not fire. Other than that all is good i think. She talks to Sydney alot think they going to be best of friend :d

Quick note:  Brisa appears to be missing a couple voice files for everything related to starting in the vault.  Was this intentional?  I've looked through the BSA and tried to match up the paths for the missing voice files and low and behold, they are not present.  One example:

Sound\Voice\RHKBrisaAlmodovar.esm\RHKBrisaVoice04\RHKBrisaAtriumH_00012027_1.mp3

...is missing.  I've looked for several others and all material related to Vault 101 seems to be gone.

When you create dialog in the

When you create dialog in the Geck, it assigns a file name for the voice file based on the Quest name, EditorID, formID, and response number. It's hard coded and you can't change the path or the name. Well, you can change the top level path by changing the plugin name, but you can't edit it directly. So even dialog without sound has a file name assigned to it. And the sound file path and name is not saved anywhere in the plugin. It's all hardcoded in the game exe as well as the Geck, as to where it should be located.

Umm I'm having a bit of trouble parting company will her... Must be my animal attraction I guess. heh

Every time I try and send her 'home' to the marker she runs off fine, but then the next time I go through a door she's back again, then she srts walking home again... This happens every time I go through a door...

I have a pretty big load order so I thought it might be that. Tested it out with my clean save at the end of vault 101 with ZERO mods (except the official ESM's + TTW) and she still does the same thing. I've tried comparing her dismissal dialogue script with wendy's but they're not quite the same so I can't tell if anything in there is wrong. :(

Thanks for reporting that bug. I've updated the OP with a new version 1.0.4 that should address the problem.

I have encountered a issue when using it with the Reading is learning mod.   That mod uses a script to pretty up all the books including the pre-war books.  When it does this it seems to remove most the books that should be usable to upgrade her skills.  

I'd like to ask you to take a look and see which pre-war book IDs Brisa uses to learn skills and perhaps post them and the location that references them so we can determine the problem and the best way to fix this.

There are so many pre-war books in FNV compared to FO3. So I did it like I did my Wendy Gilbert mod. Only the green pre-war books can raise her skills. I guess I forgot to mention that anywhere. They are 000C5D24 and 000FC9BC.

Do you have a link to that mod?

Edit - just found it. Cool mod! The books that will raise her skills are Atom Curtain and The Synthetic Man.

It's doesn't do any good to add the faction to her NPC object. The startup scripts removes her from all factions then set's her factions every time you start the game. I'll have a patch tonight or tomorrow.

I've updated the OP with version 1.0.5 of the installer. Adds Brisa to the DontTazeMeBroFaction. She gets updated as soon as you start the game. Just don't load a save in which you are already standing in the Securitron gate trigger :)

Hey, i found a bug. Her heal options cannot be changed, it always stays at "heal after combat". I hope rickerhk will read that.

I'm impressed. With how she can follow you into the Fallout 3 DLCs, any plans to give her the same functionality in Dead Money and OWB?

Also, I'm using the Amata follower mod and I'm occasionally getting an error where Brisa will sometimes start fighting with her cousin or Dogmeat when there are enemies in the area - I can usually get around it by knocking who she's fighting unconscious. Also, on the minor side of things, you still have some references to the big guns skill.

EDIT: After further play, it looks like Amata is starting the fights, not Brisa.

I use console command to change Brisa to player's faction (addtofaction 1B2A4 0) and it seem solved the issue.

From what I gather from one of Ricker's previous posts. Brisa is stripped of all factions and they are re-added at game launch each time. If you have another companion with you, all hell will break loose. I've also seen it quite a few times. (Poor Delilah, she really isn't built to take on a companion like Brisa)

 

If you can try making sure it's JUST you and Brisa when you save, make everyone else wait while you go into a building with her or something. That way when you return her script can properly sort out her factions and the other companions will never know the difference.

Actually it's the other way around. You should remove Amata from the player faction. It looks like if you get her during the escape she will still be in the playerfaction. If you get her during MS16, she won't be. Being in the Teammatefaction is enough. Normally it's not a problem to have NPCs in the playerfaction. It's just when followers are in it, you will have intermittent bugs where they aggro if you loot a container with the playerfaction as the owner - as one example. If you look at the vanilla followers, none of them are in the player faction. It's okay to put them back in that faction if you fire them.

Are you in hardcore mode? If you are not playing hardcore, then the game forces companions to essential and always heal after combat. So the option is non functional.

Also, I'm using the Amata follower mod and I'm occasionally getting an error where Brisa will sometimes start fighting with her cousin or Dogmeat when there are enemies in the area - I can usually get around it by knocking who she's fighting unconscious. Also, on the minor side of things, you still have some references to the big guns skill.

EDIT: After further play, it looks like Amata is starting the fights, not Brisa.

For Amata I would remove her from the playerfaction. As far as New Vegas DLCs for Brisa - I would like to, but there are only so many hours a week I can devote to modding and it seems like there is never enough. Then there I times I just get tired of all of it :)

That was in hardcore mode.

That was in hardcore mode. Also i noted that she can be killed, mutilated or plasma-burned, after that she resurrected in few minutes, lol.
