Adopt Bryan Wilks

TTW conversion of my Fallout 3 mod, Adopt Bryan Wilks. Conversion was done by luthienanorien, with fix by myself.

Thanks. For what it's worth, I found a way to make him take damage, except it uses assets of another mod.

I got permission from
I got permission from ChloeCosgrove to use the torso from his mod Killable Children http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/52162/?   Using his torso Bryan will take damage but is set to essential. I'd like to upload it here.

Doesn't seem to work anymore... I have no new follower dialogue to convince him to get over his fear and no option to give him a home or send him to his suitcase.

Not sure exactly what's

Not sure exactly what's causing this, or if it's endemic of modded followers (I don't use modded followers normally, so can't tell) but Bryan seems to have the ability to follow me to places he shouldn't - like into Big MT for Old World Blues, and to the Penthouse of the Lucky 38, where other followers should end up waiting.

That's how modded companions work.They dont follow the same rules as the standard companions the game provides.

For some reason, Bryan doesn

For some reason, Bryan doesn't have the modded dialogue for me to recruit him, he just has the vanilla dialogue when I talk to him (This is after I've sent him to Rivet City). Can anyone help me?

Load up FO3Edit and look at

Load up FO3Edit and look at his dialogue and find which mod is conflicting. If you haven't made a merged patch (using FO3Edit), that might help.

In the original f3 version

In the original f3 version you could recruit him even after you sent him to a home; in the streamlined port Luthien made for TTW, you can only hire him before he has a home. It's one or the other

I think my problem is that I sent him to Vera's home before enabling the mod. Would I be able to hire him if I reset the quest using console command?

 

Edit: Resetting the quest and skipping quest stages using console command doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to solve this problem using FNVEdt?
